Oh okay. The IRC channels will be essential for communication during games, so as long as you can get that to work playing via Ipad shouldn't be that much of a problem. Of course, it might be hard keeping up with those on computer.

I have no idea how proper IRC channels work, but goddammit I will learn if I have to for this. It can't be that bad, I remember using one once in like 2008/9ish so I must be able to do it. Either way, looking forward to this. Application applied, and it's amazing luck that Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri are basically the only days I am really free at those times.

The fact that I have classes from 6 - 10 on Thursdays means I won't be able to play, but I will be interested in a vista pass. So I'm going to be closing signups at 8pm tonight. I have not made any final decisions about who is in and it is not first come first serve, so if you want to play you still have time to apply. However for everyone who is thinking about applying or already applied I will once again bring your attention to the scheduling section of the rules quote:This game is split into two different challenges: Main Match and Death Match. Main Matches will occur on Mondays and Thursdays, and will involve all current players. Death Matches will occur on Tuesdays and Fridays, and will usually involve only the two people up for elimination. Occassionally others may be asked to participate in the Death Match, but this will be optional and will be told in advance. Both Main Matches and Death Matches will occur between the hours of 7-10PM EST. It is very likely they will take up the entirety of this time. Do not sign up if scheduling will be an issue. I will not be changing these times. This game will last approximately 6 weeks. Check your calendars and if you have a scheduling conflict that means you will miss days then please let me know so I can take you out of the pool. These games are all designed to work with the exact number of people there will be. Missing a match will be a huge pain and may even make the game unplayable for everyone else.

Also, will there be a spectator option for IRC? A google docs vista seems like an awful way to watch this. Edit: Seriously, this will be awful for viewers if you don't enable irc spectating.
