the controllers tend to stop at specific numbers of channels so it stops scaling up depending what size nand chips they use & this is why sometimes u get lower bandwidth on the smaller capacities

its limited for sequential stuff by sata iii atm

they have lower latency because its inherently faster tho

Also small reads and writes don't require the magnetic head to turn by motor like some ancient steam locomotive.

It's faster in every way. Also better. And sexier.

this is true up to a point. what is that point

seek time is the real killer for hard drives. moving the heads to the right area of the disk and spinning the platter to the right position is incredibly slow. SSDs eliminate this. for general computing this is much more significant than data throughput.
