On the topic of audio isolation, on my gigabyte mobo from ~2010 (P55 I think?), you can hear the CPU change state with a pair of $50 headphones, so not exactly high end. In retrospect I should have RMA'd it but now that it's almost dead, and I'm hoping to have its replacement computer in the next few days, it matters little. Point is, this stuff matters. Also gently caress gigabyte.

It's weird going back at the pre-2012 PC building threads and seeing gigabyte recommendations all over the place. Also AMD. e: Factory, that USB3 stuff is pretty familiar. So drat glad to be done with this piece of poo poo soon.
