Yesterday my partner and I adopted this adorable guy from a local rescue. He's a 3-year-old red merle Australian shepherd. The rescue got him last week from an overcrowded county shelter- so overcrowded that the shelter was going to euthanize him instead of putting him out on the adoption floor. He came to us malnourished and with a bad case of kennel cough, but otherwise he appears to be healthy (vet visit on Tuesday anyway though). He's incredibly sweet and gentle and loves to be brushed and petted. PI goons, what should we call our new dog?

We are healthy only to the extent that our ideas are humane.

Voting for something not Aussie themed. The number of Ozzy, Merles and Merlins I see around just isn't cool.

Welcome to the Aussie club. They're kind of cool.

More pictures, less blur-

Note the scraped-up nose- he sneezed outside and bashed his nose against the ground.

All tuckered out after a long walk. He sticks his tongue out like this all the time.

I don't know why but I want to call your dog Flim-Flam. Flim or Flam for short.

Bazza.
Dazza.
Doggo.

Pretty much anything ending with zza or -o is perfect for an Aussie. Or be ultra 'kewl' and call him Anzac or something.
