I just saw until episode 16 and I've to say I'm pretty satisfied with the season as whole.

Having a low key season focused on more invidual issues is a nice change of peace after the countless apocalypsis from earlier seasons. The only thing it bothers me is how Crowley has been written. He was a great character because he was genre savy and an utter bastard, now is this wimp being pushed around by everyone.

Chuck and the Gabester tell their opinion on the season's events

quote:

Chuck would “recommend a lot of Vitamin C” and also tell the Winchesters, “This is why you don’t leave the house.”

So, what about Gabriel? Well, he’d definitely be a bit more relaxed about having a curse that turns you into a serial killer and a demon. “I would just say uncork the scotch and forget it,” Speight says. “I feel like there’s no stress in life that appearing in a good porno wouldn’t smooth over, you know what I mean? I feel like I would steer [Dean] to the side of just ring up the bevy of babes and let’s get this party started, and don’t worry about this stupid Mark of Cain and first blade and blah, blah, blah. Demon schmemon. There’s a party going on — let’s get to it.”

Man. I really, really wish they are brought back :allears:

A budget.

This is something I always found really weird about the show. Back on season 1 the effects were more elaborate and impressive (the first time we see a shifter changing forms was unforgettable) but as the seasons went that level of effects was never seen again.

Anyways, I just catched up with the season and while certainly weak at points is still good. It was interesting to see the roles reversed with Sam loving things up for everyone to save Dean.

Good to see my complaints about the mid season break adressed and see Crowley becoming a threat again and Rowena become somewhat likeable, never was a fan a Charlie so I found her demise fitting to build the Styne's threat.

The reveal about the mark was an interesting twist and the Darkness is a pretty cool concept (although said threat is such that I'm getting a vibe of final baddie)

I'm also on the camp that Death isn't dead, just had enough of the Winchester's bullshit and bailed.

If anything, the weaker factor this season was the pacing. They introduced a lot of cool things that were resolved too fast. Dean being a demon could've been a neat arc until mid season, when the Stines would've become the bigger threat, for example.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan says he would love to return to Supernatural

quote:

I [recently] was in London with Jensen [Ackles] and Jared [Padalecki]. I absolutely would love to go back. I haven’t been on the show for 10 years, and I get asked about it in every interview and every time I leave my house. I went and did a Supernatural convention, which I’ve always said no to. I went to Las Vegas and talked to 5,000 crazy-rear end fans. The show has been on the air for 10 years now, and I haven’t done it for 10 years. They want me back. I do this so that I can make people happy somehow. We do it for our fans, and that’s got such a great fan base that, of course, I want to go back. And I would love to have some resolution for that character and his sons.

More importantly, Jensen, especially, is like a brother to me. I know he’s my son on the show, but we’ve become very, very good friends…For me, I think it would be so cool to go back and have him direct me. That would be great. I’m proud of them. They’re my sons, and I do look at them in a fatherly way, even though Jensen is like my brother. I’m very proud of who they are as men. I think they’ve grown up unaffected by fame and this business, which can turn people into freaks and assholes. They’re so well-grounded, and they’re both family men, and they’re honest and true. All the crap that we want out of people, those two guys are.

So, I’m proud of them and I would love to go back and work with them again, if the opportunity comes. But in saying that, I don’t want it to be a forced deal. I want it to be natural, and I want it to make sense for the story. I would love for John Winchester to have some way to say goodbye, not only to his sons, but to the fan base who seems to be clamoring for him to come back. We’ll see, but I hope. I can’t say, “I’ll do the last year,” because I don’t see an end in sight. But I love them and I’d love to go do a good, solid arc. I don’t want to just do a hit-and-run. I want to go back and do three, and really get into that world again. It would be great.

He sound like a great guy

‘Supernatural’ Casts ‘Hello Ladies’ Star for Surreal Guest Role

Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) will get a blast from the past in “Supernatural’s” upcoming 11th season. The CW’s enduring horror series has cast Nate Torrence as Sully, Sam’s imaginary friend from childhood, Variety has learned exclusively.

Sully appears in episode 1108, titled “Just My Imagination,” because he needs Sam and Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) help. The episode will be directed by “Supernatural” alum Richard Speight Jr., who memorably played the angel Gabriel (and moonlighted as The Trickster) in various episodes between seasons two and nine. Speight and fellow “Supernatural” fan favorite Rob Benedict also moderated the show’s 2015 panel at San Diego Comic-Con, and are currently working on a crowdfunded webseries called “Kings of Con” which raised almost $300,000 earlier this year.

Pretty interesting write up about the season

quote:

But the Winchesters don’t quit. (Seriously, you can kill them and they still won’t quit.) Now it’s just a matter of how they keep moving forward without answers. “They’re going to have to turn a lot to angels and the demons because they’re the only ones that have ever heard of this thing,” Ackles said. “Because of that, that’s going to involve a lot of Castiel and a lot more of Crowley and all of their people and it should be interesting.”

But until they find answers, the brothers aren’t just going to sit by and spend their days eating bacon cheeseburgers and drinking beer (even though Dean would probably love that). “Because we don’t know what to do, the brothers are not just going to sit idle and wait for somebody to tell them what to do,” Ackles said. “They’re going to go out and they’re at least going to try to help people. We start out by saying, ‘Listen, because we don’t know what to do, let’s just continue doing what we do best and that is saving people and hunting things. There’s still monsters out there. There’s still things happening.’ So with that said, they’re going to keep trying to save people and keep hunting things. They’re going to keep finding cases, keep hunting lore until they have to face or know how to face what it is that they released.”

The best part of this news? They’re doing all of this as a team. “They have a common mission a common goal and they’re back on the same team without having to worry about if one another is going to die or go dark or go soulless or start drinking blood or whatever it is,” Ackles said.

"Different gods. I'm not allowed to interfere." "Come on, just because we're fighting Mexican monsters?" Dean said, struggling to sit up. The effort made his head swim. "There's got to be, what, a billion Catholics in Mexico, right?"
"And there are a billion demons in Mexico too. In fact they have one of the highest demon to human ratios in the world, second only to Uganda. And if you were fighting one of those demons I would be happy to help you, but you aren't. What you are up against is from a totally separate, independent spiritual realm. Upper management has a longstanding laissez-faire policy with other gods. By the terms of our recent agreement, they stay out of our business and we stay out of theirs."

If you, like many Supernatural fans, have been assuming that the British Men of Letters had something to do with Sam and Dean's arrest, the answer is no.

“It was really the government that grabbed them. It was really the Secret Service,” executive producer Andrew Dabb told TVLine earlier this week.

That isn't to suggest that the feud between the two groups of hunters will not be driving a lot of story in the back half of the season. During a set visit attended by both TVLine and ComicBook.com, series star Jensen Ackles teased how that might all play out.

“We’re going to see that storyline get fleshed out in the second half of the season,” Ackles said. “There are going to be some recruitment attempts, some disagreements about methods of hunting, and that will certainly boil to a point.”

“I think we’ll find out in the future that maybe their methods aren’t the best way,” Ackles said, even though in the relatively recent past it's seemed like the British Men of Letters have had more success than their American counterparts in some ways.

Questions about how far the hunters will go to accomplish their goals will drive some story in this season, but it's not just them who might be a little morally gray.

"Rick [Sanchez] is head of the Secret Service and has a very close relationship with POTUS," actor Stephen Lobo, who plays the character (pictured above), recently told Movie TV Tech Geeks. "We get the sense there’s a deep level of trust and confidence between them. He performs his duties, either on of off the books, with unquestionable dedication and loyalty. He will go to any length to protect his boss. He’s never failed him and he never will."
