Just a heads up - keep in mind, some "appliances" makers will reconfigure whatever repos away from the main OS maker's site, so things like "yum update" (or equiv) will be perfectly happy to not download the fixed version. Only way to truly know is to run the example code on every device possible. This is going to be annoying for so long with all those weird-rear end legacy systems.
