Treehouse of Horror XXV Bart and Lisa are transported to a demon-filled alternate universe after Bart reads a set of Aramaic symbols he finds on the underside of his desk. Moe’s “Clockwork Orange”-style gang is disrupted when Dum (Homer) falls for a girl (Marge) who wants him to give up the thug life. In an homage to “The Others,” the Simpsons are visited by their former Tracey Ullman-era versions of themselves.

I'm cautiously optimistic about that third segment. The idea is great but based on recent THOH episodes the potential will probably be wasted.

I figured out that there would be something Clockwork Orange based from Tapped Out.

Just finished watching it on Global. The 2nd segment was fun to see (with some original soundtrack cues) but kind of rudderless, and the 3rd segment was SUPER meta and actually kind of good.

They've been starting all of Fox's new season Sunday lineup beginning at 7PM AST starting with 'Mulaney', it's crazy early. The new Family Guy is on right now, for example.

Yeah they have some other hour long show at 9 that bumps everything down.

Ah you must be in my homeland of Nova Scotia, as in Toronto its showing Mulaney now, then boarder security, then Madame secratary then the good wife, then Simpsons and Family Guy. Pull me apart like string cheese! Whoa, Tim Hortons ad on American TV. Weird. Fun fact, Kubrick was a pretty big fan of the Simpsons. twistedmentat fucked around with this message at 01:20 on Oct 20, 2014 |

First act was predictable but not bad. I laughed way more at the second than I thought I would. So far so good IMHO.

Anime and Adventure Time Simpsons was laser-guided to my happiness centers. Archer Simpsons was nice too. Simpsons has basically always known how to do good Treehouse of Horrors, so just more of the same today. Edit: I definitely want screen caps of the various new Simpsons families. I missed the Attack on Titan reference.

Yeah, they are far from 100% on good Treehouses, but you can expect them to be better than a typical episode. That's what I meant by knowing how to do them, as compared to knowing how to do a good Simpsons episode in general, which are far more inconsistent in my opinion.
