I went to a Dresden Dolls show once and shortly before saw the support act listed online. Edward Ka-Spel and the Silverman sounded like a really weird thing to name yourself. I figured out quickly who they were, but I'd only heard one Legendary Pink Dots song up to then. That song was Just a Lifetime, very calm and melodic, so I went to the show and quite happily settled in for more of that when the lights went down. Seemed to fit well with the Dolls' sound, anyway. It was a very educational evening. Let's get some Frank The Baptist up in here. Two pretty good albums from the early-mid 2000s. I should probably get a hold of the third one at some point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VALwIrJlxv4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktWj440edIs e: my girlfriend has a Dresden Dolls live DVD somewhere where Ka-Spel joins them for the encore, Missed Me, reads the lyrics from cue sheets, throwing one behind himself after every verse and generally giving the impression he's seeing the lyrics for the first time and isn't enjoying them one bit. It's just his performance I'm sure, but it's still hilarious. Especially in hindsight. My Lovely Horse fucked around with this message at 20:07 on Nov 12, 2014 |

I'm pretty sure that's a canvas bag. Potentially, but unlikely, an apron.
