Because if the WWE wants to do Rock/Rusev at HiaC I'm down

I think it was just a case of schedules lining up. Maybe they are hinting at something for Wrestlemania (like they set up Punk/Rock in the summer of 2012) or maybe they just wanted to do it and maybe give Rusev and Lana a bit of a rub. I'd be surprised if Rock saw that as a big money match, but he might.

That's basically what I expect.

What they should do is have Ambrose totally go over, beat Cena in a close match just because he's willing to cheat and play dirty to get the job done. Then go on to finally get the W over Rollins in a brutal Cell match. But I'm not going to kid myself in thinking that will happen.

Instead Cena and Ambrose will have a good match right up until Cena gets a visual pin on Ambrose, then the authority attacks him and causes Ambrose to win by DQ.

I pray not. I thought Cena was going to rapadoo BRAWK and we have a good champ. They dropped the ball on the follow through but still BRAWK LESNAR is champ. Maybe Vince will listen to reason, work out or go try and train some beavers to write scripts for him. I refuse to give in to despair.

Raw was fairly decent for a 2014 raw. Loved the Rock and Ambrose and it was nice to see Ambrose get the Jesus pop he deserves. Wyatt promos might actually undo some of the booking and Cena damage. Rusev, Cesaro, Ziggler, Dusts and Mark Henry made an entertaining raw. I really like Mark Henry for reasons I cannot fully describe. Also Adam Rose makes me so glad to be a lemon. I just find him more and more insufferable every time he appears. I loathe him almost as much as Hogan and Cena.

Although if he were to return for WrestleMania, I'd imagine he'd want to do something with Reigns. Maybe Rock/Reigns vs. Rusev/Somebody

It sounded like a one-off. Rock verbally puts over Rusev, spouts his catchphrases, throws him out of the ring, everyone's happy, Rock goes back to making movies, Rusev retires in disgrace as he fails to pin a black man.

The main thing that makes me think Rock/Rusev isn't a one time thing is that Rock never hit the Rock Bottom. Rusev's taken finishers before so it's not like they're trying to save that for the guy who beats him or whatever. I might be wrong but it just feels like if this were a one off Rock would hit as least one of his finishers.

Ambrose's gimmick is that he's a deranged slimeball, yeah?

Also Rusev was originally trained by Gangrel and Rikishi.

That stupid Kathie Lee segment is exactly what wrestling DOESN'T need. Don't they realize there was a hotly contested football game between two extremely popular teams on national tv? Just dumb, pointless, insulting booking. Also of COURSE the main event we've seen every possible iteration of a million times ends in a DQ.

A rock bottom would veer a little to close to burying. This was more like a one time rub to a guy that can actually use it.

For those keeping score (me), that's Raw's 29th DQ/segment/non-finish ending this year, and 5th consecutive one.

I'm really wondering where the hell they're going with this. It looks like a singles run for both, but does Bray accompany them or not? And in either case, what does Bray do? He's solid in the ring, they just blew his gimmick on Cena way too early.

Go back and count the DQ endings during the Attitude era and get back to me. Just about every raw I can remember from that time was either a segment to close the show or a DQ ending to screw (austin/rock/foley/Jericho). And then there's WCW.

Because when you have a three hour raw every week, you run out of fresh poo poo three times quicker.

It's not a coincidence that the most consistently good WWE-owned product for the last year or so has been the one that gets an hour of television each week.
