This is a highly enjoyable adaptation, but in terms of quality is nowhere near the original VN. I'm enjoying it though, but it really feels like it could've used 25 episodes instead of 13.

At this point it's pretty clear they're going to do a rushed, cliffs-notes version of each character's story. Pretty disappointing. Pick up the all-ages version of the game when it's out on Steam or whatever. It has the opposite problem (overly long, leisurely story progression) but you get to know the characters a lot better.

Meowmel, noooo I'm a bit saddened that this is only gonna be 13 episodes, considering how long the VN is, I don't thnk they'll get the most out of the adaptation with so few episodes. Also the Michiru route first is interesting, though I suppose it is the least focused on Yuuji of the five so it makes sense from a narrative perspective I guess.

Welp. They cut the other girls reacting to Michiru's "death", which was my favorite part of her route probably. Also other Michiru's closure got super abbreviated.

I was wondering how they were going to handle Michiru's alternate personality. I heard that got retconned in the sequels, but I guess the second soul thing is canon here. While I'm still overall glad they're making it, that was some pretty drat severe cutting, including some of the better stuff. And Michiru's route was probably one of the easiest to tie up quickly. To be specific, (light Rakuen spoilers) there's a scene where Michiru #2 is approached by a foreign tourist asking for directions, and while her english is good enough, she does get called out on not having a native level/american accent. Michiru #2 brushes it off as being out of practice, but it's kind of implied that rather than having the personality of an American teenager implanted into her via heart surgery, Michiru merely thinks she does because Michiru's kind of an idiot, and constructed this persona for herself that's everything she's not: capable, smart, cool-headed, and Personally I really like the retcon, it seems like it fits Michiru's personality, and it was the only supernatural element to come up in the series, so this interpretation fits the overall feel better. quote:The episode list has been released and it looks like Makina is going last. I'd expected the last route to be either Amane or Sachi. Amane because her route is one of the longest, most memorable, ties in to the overall plot the most, and depends the most on a romantic relationship with Yuuji, which would allow them to have a romantic conclusion as well.), Sachi because it ends with a boom. Makina's has the most action, but I'd honestly wondered if they weren't going to try and merge it with Yumiko's somehow, since the two of them honestly overlap an awful lot.

What on earth have they done to the Yumiko route. Shrinking it to one episode, not using the amazing stock manipulation strategy, the whole running away part, the subsequent attacks from the groups... the list goes on. I'm honestly appalled at what they've done to one of the better routes. We didn't need two episodes of Michiru if they could've been better used for this.

If they weren't going to have any romance then it's better that they went the way it did. I don't see how it works without the romance. I'm fine with a one episode Yumi arc if they devote more time to Angelic Howl, aka the best thing in any of the character routes.

Man this is a bummer. It started super strong and now it's floundering pretty depressingly. The animation quality has also gone from ridiculous to a little off the last few eps. The VN is pretty great, IDK how this doesn't seem totally ridiculous all packed together.

I'm at least glad that Makina's mother got shot the appropriate number of times and the combat was as described in the VN. I wish the fight that introduces it was in, along with some narration from Yuuji.

They've been in talks with Frontwing pretty much throughout the process, and have presumably hammered all that poo poo out already. The KS was supposed to go up back in November but Frontwing made them delay it a bunch for some reason or another.
