Is Shinich's future child going to be half alien? I almost forgot as they tend to have fast-forwarded family photo-op in these kind of series.

Nope, it will be a comedy about Murano and her struggle to lead a normal family life in spite of her husband and children being always swept up in superheroics. Featuring the police inspector as the guy who doesn't want to admit the police need Shinichi's assistance but is forced by his superiors to call on him (and who always has to plead and negotiate with Murano because of this). Also featuring Kana's ghost as the neighbour cougar who has the hots for Shinichi, much to Murano's chagrin. Guest starring Migi as "uncle Migi", who shows up at random times to save the day whenever Shinichi's in deep trouble, does something inappropriate, then runs off until the next time. Series title is My Ideal Family Life is Not What I Expected, and episode titles are all variations on "Are... Are you really (person name)?" or "Is... Is this really (thing)?". So this basically ended as Crunchyroll autocharged me for membership renewal. Anything else I should be watching along the same lines? I'm not big on anime for the sake of anime, but a good show's a good show regardless of medium.

If you want bad philosophy, Gankutsuou (sucks they only have it in 480). If you want intense action broken up by bad pacing, Attack on Titan. Kill La Kill has a great first half season, then turns to unmitigated poo poo because they abandoned the story for fan service (bringing characters back for no reason, referencing shows like Guren Lagann too much). It is just really awkward to watch with other people around if those people are prudes. Guren Lagann, similarly starts really well, but starts to fall apart half way through.

I'm sorry you are so easily offended. I think the KlK thread opened back up if you want to go rant about the show there. Yes, KlK could have done better with its costume choices since Japan has an issue with over sexualizing young women, but go bitch in another thread, please. \/\/Which you can see in the KlK thread The Repo Man fucked around with this message at 23:42 on Apr 7, 2015 |

Gankutsuou tries to say stuff about vengeance that I don't think panned out, but overall, like you said, it's way better than it had any right being, cheap animation aside. Not the visual style, I love that. The actual animation quality. Most of the Monogatari series is on Crunchy roll. It's an interesting show with amazing visual style, but seems to be pretty polarizing. Hozuki no Reitetsu and Ramen Fighter Miki are both good gag shows that could use more episodes. Chaika The Coffin Princess is pretty good, but ends pretty abruptly. The first episode of Gugure! Kokkuri-San is good, then it becomes a show about a couple of spirits lusting after an elementary school girl. So, watch the first episode them ignore the rest. You could go old school and watch Fist of the North Star to see where Dragonball Z came from. Or Galaxy Express 999, which I haven't seen yet but I hear is pretty good.

You seem like a very angry person. When I have a really, really lovely day, yes I get really angry. My post was poo poo, so my bad on that one. The reason I don't have as much of a problem with the Senketsu design is because they attempted to work it into the broader message of the show, and it works for the first half. The things in the second half, like the rape stuff, is incredibly bad. You could at least look at the thing that happened in the first half of the show as releasing chakra or whatever (according to the KlK thread), but it became apparent that that isn't where they were going with it since it went full fan service the second half. That particular scene is still not handled well since Looool Japan. They remembered what they were trying to do by the climax, but a lot of the stuff between the end of the first cour and the end of the second was legit pretty horrible. Like Sword Art Online, the second half is best avoided. Razzled posted:I'm just gonna go with ADTRW Wiki on this one. Bakamonogatari is anime for the sophisticated pedophile. That's weird. I don't think KlK is very similar to Parasyte in any case. I'd suggest Attack on Titan or maybe Fate/Zero.Razzled posted:I'm just gonna go with ADTRW Wiki on this one. Bakamonogatari is anime for the sophisticated pedophile.

THE AWESOME GHOST posted:Are the Fate shows actually any good? I never watched them because I heard they were adapted from a porn game Ignore anything not made by ufotable. Fate/Zero was really good and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works is so far really good. Also it's not really a porn game because the sex bits are obviously shoehorned in because , the story is the real point of the game. Also these are all questions for the recommendation thread.

Avoid the DEEN Fate/Stay Night (which ruins the main character's personality and has lovely animation) and Prisma Ilya (a generic seinen magical girls series with everything that implies). The "porn game" aspect is just the handful of sex scenes that VNs for PC used to be (maybe still are to an extent) expected to have. They were removed in the remake of the game.

I'm not big on anime for the sake of anime, but a good show's a good show regardless of medium. You might want to actually dig around the live drama section. It's actually really hard to find Japanese TV shows and J-Drama on crunchy roll (I still don't know how I managed to find Detarame Hero), but they have quite a few bizarre movies in the Japanese section that pop up instantly. Quality movies like Machine Girl, Black Rat, and Tokyo Gore Police...To give you an idea of what you would be getting into, here is a scene from Machine Girl. NSFW for silly blood and gore effects (if it doesn't jump to the time code, skip to 4:33). Most of these movies are near Troma level films. These movies exist mostly to be made fun of, but they are okay for the pure WTF factor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGYLMU6dkeM You also have access to all the manga now too, but I haven't looked in there yet. You can also use the dice roll to look up a random show. You can see if the first episode grabs you or not. The first show it pulled up for me was Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere. Besides mostly being about gigantic breasts that would make great models to sell at insane prices, the character designs come out of the 90's in that nearly everyone has Down's. Made it 2 episodes. But it's also how I found Parasyte, so....
