The one that's particularly important, in my opinion, is the one for exchanging user IDs-- you can use that to share any cool Servants you get with other people. Friend slots seem to be limited (though I think you get more as you level up) so you might not want to add people who don't have cool/desireable servants.

If you're having trouble levelling up your dudes, the daily quests at the top of the daily quest thing reward lots of XP items (the top one is saber, archer, and lancers, exclusively). Note that the ones that cost AP are more difficult but give better XP items.

For those who are wondering what the gently caress your crafting essences do: If it has the Green Quick symbol, it increases Quick damage by the stated %. If it has the Blue Arts symbol, it increases Arts damage by the stated %. If it has the Red Buster symbol, it increases Buster damage by the stated %. If it has an Exclamation mark, it increases Critical damage by the stated %. If it has a Crit Star, it increases the rate at which you collect Crit Stars in battle by the stated %. If it has a Shield, it increases defense by the stated %. If it has a sword with Rings behind it, it increases NP build rate by the stated %. If it has a beam of light, it increases NP Damage by the stated %. If it has a sword with an explosion-like glow behind it, it increases NP Starting % by the stated %. Levelling up a crafting essence just seems to affect the attack and HP bonus (and the cost) so I'm unsure if there's any real benefit to doing so at this time.

If you get multiple Servants, keep in mind that you can mash them together to upgrade their skills. Make sure you do this with the useless level 1 guys and not with your level 17 guy! ( )

You can increase the level cap, actually. Once you get a Servant to their max level, go to the upgrade screen and click the Ascension button. This unlocks another one of their skills and changes their appearance. For example I ascended my Arash and now he has cool leather armor on some parts of his body. e: Here's some info on some of the Servants and what their abilities are. On the other hand, it does paralyze her for those two turns because she's asleep  Also, here is a gallery with the cards for (most) of the Servants and Craft Essences currently in the game files. It has some that are not gettable. If you are wondering how to unlock these extra outfits, your Servant's outfit gets fancier when you ascend them. Better start grinding exp cards! Also, a lot of these are by different artists, which is why some are  and some are

Saber Alter is unlocked after Fuyui, Jeanne Alter is unlocked after Orleans, Nero is unlocked after Rome. Also jesus the 40 AP XP quest today is just making GBS threads gold lancer cards at me. I've gotten my Elizabeth Bathory up to 27 so far.

The 40 AP one seems to have level 30-40 enemies at the most and while they can hit kinda hard, since it's only once per round from each enemy, you can easily win a DPS race if you're using a Berserker for support or something. I was completing it fairly regularly with Servants in the level 15 range or so even before I got Jeanne and Bathory.

Jeanne Alter's Noble Phantasm reflects and amplifies damage so the harder you hit her the turn it's used, the harder you get hit.
