Shielder is definitely good as a support, but she can be a liability quite often so it's better to keep her as a sub member most of the time unless you need her in the starting position. Depending on your team composition and synergy, she should either be starting or waiting as a sub member. I have chosen to place Shielder as a sub since Vlad generates a bunch of stars with his NP, and I would prefer to have a character that can utilize them effectively, such as Ushiwakamaru or EMIYA. I have been using Ushiwakamaru with Vlad and I like that she can recover so much NP with her crits. If I put Shielder in the starting role, then the stars generated by Vlad won't be of much use because of the low damage output. Even if Shielder's cards have 100% crit chance, I will always choose a Buster card of another character because of the fact that Shielder can't finish the job. Just buff up her damage slightly Delightworks  Speaking of stars, I'm hoping to add either Gil or Atlanta into my team if I can get lucky with the quartz I have saved. I just want either of them and it will be good times for my team.

The event just switched to the Rider quests. I didn't check what class it was going to be when I did the event and I wish I had brought Kojirou. I had to whittle him down slowly with a friend Ruler after he killed my team. It was kind of annoying because of his constant defense buffing and healing so my team couldn't keep up and it was just a battle of attrition. At least the developers were gracious enough to actually give out a significant QP reward so people can actually do the event instead of continuously farming the QP dailies.

I just finished the second of the three event quests since I previously skipped it and... yeah he survived two NPs, but he's not going to live another turn with this outcome:  I was expecting St. George to die after using Vlad's and Kojirou's NP, so I preemptively used Kojirou's second skill. If I had known better, then I could've had an outcome where I had 60 stars.

Pulled a Kaleidoscope from my rolls. Level 60 Vlad + Kaleidoscope. I think I've assembled a pretty decent crew. Vlad can generate stars, EMIYA eats them up, and I have Waver to buff up EMIYA for additional crit damage. I could put the crit damage CE on EMIYA as well if I want to buff it even further. Edit: gently caress. The servers didn't save my progress correctly. I lost my Super Success on EMIYA, which got him to 40 with as few exp cards as possible. DelightWorks 2nd edit: Well, it looks like my progress was saved correctly so hurray, I still got the exp on EMIYA. It looks like it was just server issues after all. The change to the QP dailies is a very nice one. I bagged 765k QP on my first run, which is a very hefty sum, but it's not going to last once I start leveling up my other servants. This might convince me to level up 1 or 2-star servants and do their interludes, since I won't have to worry about the 3 or 4-star servants taking all the QP.

The visuals do change. I've seen many coat-less EMIYAs and one white Jeanne on my friend list. I have not seen one Gil in my friend list. This is what I get for adding so many Rulers to my friend list.

Part 2 of Gil's event was announced here: http://typemoon.com/news/2015/bfue6l It looks like you will need to obtain a serial code, input it, and it will allow you to select one of the 4-star servants shown in the picture. The pool of units to choose from doesn't seem great so I might just pick EMIYA to upgrade his NP and to allow for overcharging.

I just tried Chevalier's interlude and, boy, that quest is just retarded. Whose idea was it to put a 900k HP enemy as a boss? Fighting it was really annoying and impossible without good luck. Every time I wanted to use Jeanne's NP, it would stun her before I can use it. Time to wait for all my Command Seals to recover before trying again. DelightWorks I was thinking of picking Saint Martha as the free 4-star servant tonight, but then I realized that she's a Rider-class and she won't survive a few turns.

My party was lvl 60 Vlad, lvl 50 Waver, lvl 40 Medea, and lvl 32 Mashu. The support was a lvl 89 Jeanne. Vlad lasted longer because I was able to ascend Waver and get his second skill, which is awesome because of the damage reduction. Waver lasted until around the boss had around 350k HP left, so he did a lot of work and it wouldn't work without him since I ascended him today. I didn't get to do much with Medea because they constantly sealed her NP, drained her of NP, and stunned her as well. What I've noticed in this fight was that the ghosts would use their NP on the leader, so my expendables being first always led them to their deaths. I originally wanted to keep their NP gauges synced together but then I used Waver's NP and the fight became smoother because of it. A good accident, I might say. Being able to disrupt the timing of the boss' NP was important because it allowed me to rotate certain buffs to reduce the damage taken from him. For example, I would use the dodge skill on his first NP, then Jeanne's NP on the second, Waver's skill on the third, and then a heal and Jeanne's NP on the fourth. Doing that let Medea survive long enough for her and Waver to deal a lot of damage. Mashu didn't last as long and did nothing at all. She also took more damage than Medea did even when I had multiple sets of defense buffs. Here is the key difference between my first encounter and this encounter: I kept the two non-boss ghosts alive. The boss can attack 3 times and one of his skills is a stun. By keeping them alive, the boss can only attack once per turn and that reduced the risk of Jeanne getting stunned which meant more heals to keep my party alive longer. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the moonrunes say about d'Eon's interlude since I know nothing of the language except for the stuff I picked up naturally over time.

Free 10 Quartz following the next maintenance  Too bad it's not going to last me long because I'll be spending that to try to farm for a Reverse Dragon Scale. I did 18 runs of the Bond EXP daily this past Sunday and that drat dragon only dropped an item once and it was only a gold Rider skill upgrade item . I will even need to expand inventory past 100 because I'm sitting on a bunch of 4-star EXP cards.

Rolled twice with the summoning tickets and I was able to get the new 4* CE. Not bad, I guess. At least it's useful enough to be put on a sub for increasing the number of dangos I get from a drop. Then I decided to roll 4 times with my Quartz and I got Lancelot, Prisma Cosmos, and 2 black keys. Not a bad haul. I'm not sure if I'll be able to use Prisma Cosmos while I'm using Vlad w/Kaleidoscope and Waver, but it should be useful once I get to a higher level and have more cost available.

If you're able to clear the 30AP quest, then you'll be swimming in dango if you can bring servants with the new CEs. Choosing random non-friend list people with the 5* gacha CE is quite risky but it has been worth it if you are confident you can clear it. I've been getting 40+(!) dango per run when I don't get the gold dango drop. This is just with the 4* CE, 3* event CE, and the new 5* gacha CE. I still have one sub slot left so I can add in a random character with the 5* event CE in the future for even more dango.

I've purged off inactive players from my friend list, so I will be posting this since it's probably a good time to add newer people. Here is my friend code: 658,112,721 - Level 70 Vlad w/Moony Jewel CE (+2 Dango drop) I'll be adding people when I can and I currently have 8 free slots. I'll also be switching to the Moonlight Festival CE soon. I'm hoping to add people that will put the new CEs on their leaders so it makes the event easier to farm.

Some good news regarding the event: You can exchange the gold dango for regular dango after the event is over at a 2:1 exchange rate. Now there is less frustration when you see a red chest drop while spamming the 5AP quest. I might be able to get nearly everything I want now if I can figure out how many I'll have by the time the event is over. Before this news, I was thinking of getting a 2nd 5* CE > minimal amount of 3 class monuments and pieces > all fou cards > however many 4* exp cards I can get.

The Red chest from Da Vinci's shop can be purchased for 10 mana prisms and contains 4 summoning tickets. The last ticket gave me Vlad. I can't wait to put back Kaleidoscope on him because of his level 2 NP Edit: I finally got up to +990 attack bonus from the Fou cards on Vlad.  3 4* CE and 1 5* CE out of 5 tickets (last 4 CEs shown), which is not bad considering the stories I hear about people getting multiple black keys. Maybe I'll get Formalcraft for Waver one day if I still don't get any more dupes. At least getting one of many types will help me with team building and improving team compositions in the future.

By that, I mean reaching max levels for most of your servants and being unable to ascend them because of (currently) unobtainable ascension materials. For the early game, you'll get by with the default amount, but once you reach a certain point then you can purchase inventory expansions. Until you've reached a wall, it's better to save Quartz for rolls that could probably help bolster your line-up or team composition. I have 160 total inventory slots and I've rarely gone over 80 used spaces because I'll eventually feed all my saved 4* EXP cards to someone. At least having all this space enables me to hoard as many EXP cards as I can

I'm glad the increased rates are for unimpressive servants this week. After spending so much quartz yesterday to ascend Vlad for the fourth time, I will need some time to prepare and save quartz for the Halloween event. If there's nothing I want during that event, then I'll wait for Scathach to be released or for Atalanta to be in the spotlight. I've been using an Atalanta support with a level 2 NP and a Kaleidoscope CE for a whole day and it's bonkers. At the moment, Atalanta is the only servant I really want just because she fits into my team so well. Not even the Gils in my friend list has impressed me even if he is the superior archer in many ways.

*Spends 20 Golden Apples last night repeating runs and checking for the Halloween Princess CE drop via packet sniffing and gets nothing* "gently caress this game, what a waste of resources" Then I get the CE drop off of Atalanta from the first Party Time quest I ran today. Using all those apples was worth it since I don't want to go through this event knowing I didn't get at least one CE drop. Sure, there's one week left for the event but it is very monotonous doing the same mission over and over. I just want to get levels for Caster Liz and get her final ascension.

Blackbeard's interlude can drop forbidden pages. I've gotten four on the first quest and six on the second quest. I finally ascended Waver after Vlad took a whole batch of pages a month ago, but now I need Infinity Gears. My whole crew is starting to grow up. Also, these Waver buffs are hilarious and it brought out all the underleveled Wavers in my friendlist out of the bushes. I can't believe how strong his buffs became after I logged in just now. He really does help other people become stronger. I am excited about random team compositions involving him again.

Kyte, I checked the updated servant profiles and noticed entries for quests related to the servants. I was looking at Waver's profile and I was wondering if any information is missing regarding his last interlude since mine is still locked (max bond, 3rd ascension). Maybe I just need his last ascension for it to be available. http://imgur.com/a/je7T9 After putting the pieces together and taking a look at the text above various incomplete interludes, I have concluded that I do need Waver to be in his fourth ascension.

^ That and you have her I spent 5 tickets and 24 quartz today trying to get Waver so I can upgrade his NP but I ended up with a Formalcraft, a CE I really wanted a long time ago, and the 5* Shirou CE. My Arts team is set for life now with the addition of Formalcraft as an option  . Now I can save quartz and tickets for Casko when she becomes available in the gacha again.

The Saber army is out in full force today thanks to London. Every other person on my friend list has switched to one. I didn't get anything of note out of my 10-roll, which is expected. The Atlas uniform is great and I feel delusional for thinking that Vlad somehow got a hidden, albeit very slight, buff. It just feels like he's charging more NP than normal. Friend List size is increased again after leveling up

@Kyte Will you update the NP rankings later when you have the time? I was checking Vlad's data at Beast's Lair and noticed that his NP got a major damage boost after getting the NP upgrade from the interlude. That level 3 NP is finally going to pay off. Thanks for the very updated profiles as well. I didn't get any notable servants with the tickets and quartz I've obtained since getting Mordred, but I got another Kaleidoscope as consolation from the very last roll My farming line-up looks really good now since I can switch in a sub (Lancelot/Nobu/Caster Liz/Santa Alter) and wreck face with multiple NPs. I just need the levels to support the total cost
