Vargs posted:everquest skeletons are my favorite skeletons. they make a cool, very memorable laughing noise when they attack and a satisfying cracking sound effect when you hit them. you can summon them as a necromancer and they get good names like gebaber and lenobtik. selling their dropped bone chips to other players in the east commonlands is just about the only way to make decent money as a new player which makes them a very helpful part of the economy. like most undead they are fearless and will attack anybody nearby no matter what level they are, and can see through standard invisibility. nice job, everquest skeletons.

you need to remember that everytime you get attacked by a skeleton in a video game, they are only trying to help someone The real monster is YOU

Statistics The TC/Rune drops listed are the highest Treasure Class/Rune Group a normal monster of that type can drop. Champions and Bosses can sometimes drop from the next higher TC. The max TC/Rune possible depends on which level a monster spawns in, and can vary slightly from the listed values (monsters that spawn in later levels can drop higher level items). in neverwinter nights 1 and 2 if you're an arcane spellcaster you can have a skeleton's arm come out of your body instead of the meat version, which is a big upgrade from regular imo when you touch someone with it they gain the spooked condition for 1d4 days and have to travel back to their childhood home or an equivalent haven to center themselves spiritually before facing you again

i like that dark souls implied skeleton babies were born in that womb cave and then one day grew to be big giant skeletons that would hit the player with huge falchions
