Considering that he's a composer and not an animator or that the names don't actually sound alike, I'm going to have to say no.

Anime Bluray extra features usually involve the VA doing something. Like footage of events or some random segment they shot with the VAs to add on to the bluray.

A lot of VAs do a uprising amount of non-VA work like events, weekly radio shows (sometimes with video), random live action shows like cooking shows (Yasumoto) or playing video games (Sugita).

Yeah, if you don't play video games and don't watch many war movies then I would say it's pretty easy to know nothing about how military aviation works other than fast jets shoot stuff.

Hanazawa Kana is a pretty good singer now. Stop making fun of her.

Also, selecting the VA by twitter followers means that Sugita Tomokazu would be every main character.

How can you call a scene with Koyasu's amazing "acting"* as hard to watch.

*We all know he was just reading the lines as himself rather than in character.

To make more connections with GuP. The main character in that series was also voiced by a newcomer voice actor.

I don't think they expected Shirobako to be such as hit so it's more of them being able to afford to use newer actors.

Edit: Not to mention creative freedom since this series isn't tied to anything. In the show's VA debate Kinoshita actually pushed for the newbie (Shizuka) while the other reps of the industry rejected her because it could damage the series (and thus their profits). With none of that pressure from outside reps then it makes sense that newbie VAs would be used. Plus they're cheaper.

This show has shown that a show's quality is heavily reliant on the director and that a director isn't always affiliated with a studio (ie: Kinoshita is not actually part of Musani)

Voice acting is recorded long before the show airs using a bare bones storyboard. Sometimes a VA will ad-lib something and the animators will add it in to the final product.

That's in the US system. In Japan, they prefer to actually have a good amount of the animation done before they give it to the actors.
That's how they explained it in that one episode of Gintama but since that was a long running weekly series the situation might be different.

The true twist is that Shizukas happy ending is just something the staff insisted upon. The true ending is her falling into alcoholism and eventually marrying someone she hates because of societal pressure, while deep down being miserable for the rest of her dull life of soul crushing mediocrity. Occasionally she gets to argue with 1.4 children that despise her, numbers declining. This is poignant because the industry is cruel. However, due to the production issues this would have created they just went with this anime original ending instead as that got done in advance.
Aoi's older sister is already heading that route except she'll be a working mom.

PA Works doesn't really do sequels but the way this is selling, there's a good chance we'll get a movie.

Exodus was already skeevy as hell and Aoi didn't really have a problem with it.

That's the official teaser poster before the show even aired. It's most likely a place holder.

The latest episode of Hackadoll is a Shirobako parody titled "Kurobako". Basically a condensed Shirobako with the despair turned up 200%. Worth watching imo.
