This game will be a match between two iterations of Endrbyt, and will use special actions. We can do this two ways:
  • Blind Build: Both players will select their Endr-kit in secret. I will reveal in the thread, then players will select starting discards and finisher.
  • Draft: Using a modified Rochester draft, players will draft a functional fighter from one copy of Endrbyt, one set of standard bases, and one set of beta bases.
I'll let the participants hash out how they want to handle this. (In the event of a disagreement, we will default to blind builds.)


Players will blind-build their Endrbyts, which will be revealed before discards and finishers are chosen.

See, my guess was a Tanis mirror. I'm... not sure if this is better or worse.

I would probably want to know more about the draft mechanics before settling on a choice, but my gut feeling is that blind build presents less chance to get screwed over pre-game.

e: Though on further reflection, being all cutthroat during draft could be fun in itself.

There's an error on Endrbyt's sheet here. Just checked my own physical copy.

Acquisition Mode should only give Endrbyt 2 energy tokens to start.

Players, please reevaluate your openings with this information, and either confirm your current move or submit a new one. Tolly, if you want to switch modes in light of this, we can call a mulligan and go back to building.
