Vault of Satoshi will be closing on February 5th, 2015. Although new deposits will no longer be accepted, rest assured, you will have plenty of time to finalize any trades and withdraw any outstanding funds with all of the convenience and expeditiousness that you’re used to. We expect there will be some speculation as to why the Vault is going to be sealed forever, and we’d like to reassure the community that it has absolutely nothing to do with insolvency, stolen funds, or any other unfortunate scenario. To this day we are proud to have run the first full proof-of-reserve exchange in the industry, with strict compliance and security regimes. Thank you for your interest in QuickBT!

Well we could just be walking to the bank and making the payment - all Visa member banks let you do this domestically with no ID, and I believe it works globally too (don't quote me!).

But that's too slow, so we're using the QuadrigaCX platform to trade and withdraw. Many exchanges now let you withdraw to Visa, so this is nothing new. In time, we'll integrate redundant exchange links so we're not dependant on just them. We've simply taken a process that used to require a Bitcoin deposit, multiple confirmations (30-60 mins), some trading, and a withdrawal -- down to just two fields and a Bitcoin transaction.

Same thing with QuickBT, just the other way around. You might ask "why pay the % fee?" - but the majority of consumers we want to reach with Bitcoin will never use an exchange platform and each second we can shave off the process adds significant value.

PS we did decide to delay the launch until Wednesday - we have a few more features we want to add before launch!

That's the time when I got some trouble. My hotel told me my credit card doesn't work for them, so I have to almost all the cash on my hand to them. So I just got like few dollars in my pocket, along with my credit card (which did work on other places which take the card.)
I work as a software engineer and web developer in Taiwan, and I am also a believer of Bitcoin, so I thought about "Why not sell some Bitcoin in my Taiwanese bank account and get some cash?". I did a little research online, it turn out there are only one BTM (Bitcoin ATM) around downtown SF, which is located in the 20 Mission (co-working space), when I got there, someone from the 20 Mission told me the BTM is down. He also told me that if I try to get some help, I should come toÂ
NoiseBridge.
I am wondering if anyone knows about how can I sell some BTC to get cash in SF, or is there anyone I can exchange with?
By the way, I will just stay in NoiseBridge this afternoon, see if anyone can help me on this.

The bitcoin ATM in Vancouver is/was running with CAVirtex, and the owner of the coffee shop it's in is a balls-deep bitcoiner who hosts weekly bitcoin meetups in there and everything.
