Deadline might be confused on the season which is understandable, because of the weird production schedule I regularly forget what the actual season is compared to the production season, but regardless yeah, it's finishing this season on tbs, next season it moves to FOX (and by extension, Hulu)

I didn’t really like this one either. The scenes in the pentagon room were boring. I did like the brainrot meme jokes though. Guess we aren’t getting our single utterance of poo poo per episode anymore with the move back.

Oh my God, that's the funniest possible outcome. Fox typically ordered 22 (or more) episodes at a time, but the only aired 20 at most per year; between that and calling its spring 2005 debut "Season 1" they wound up throwing the numbering way off. (The reason that Season 11 was 3 episodes long was because they still had 3 episodes from production season 8 held over they needed to run before the show moved to TBS.)

I'm kinda interested in where they are planning on putting it and if it will have a full complement of 20ish episodes. Fox has been bouncing their schedules all around for animation. One thing that is interesting is that the articles say: "A key factor in the return to Fox occurred in November of 2024, when Fox reupped its streaming partnership with Hulu to allow the show to contue streaming new episodes on Hulu the day after they air on the network." That really reads like Hulu was prepared to pick it up directly, but they allowed it to revert to Fox since the streaming agreement meant it would be on Hulu anyways.

At the time I was mentally comparing it to The Magicians episode where the PoV character is deaf , but now that I've slept on it I think the BoJack underwater episode is a better comparison.
