Managed to see some of the new episodes. I'm really enjoying them so far. The Morning Mimosa stuff is by far my favorite thing, though blond Hayley made me feel funny.

Holy crap you guys were right about American Fung being terrible. It's like a completely different writing staff worked on that episode.

drrockso20 posted:I really wouldn't be surprised if they took an incomplete rejected script(the Stan gets Francine committed parts of the episode), and then added the Fung parts to pad it out into a full episode so they'd be able to complete the first season order for TBS, it's hard for me to imagine an episode ending up so badly otherwise, otherwise you are right about the TBS season being fun for the most part, even if the quality has dipped a bit It's kind of like Futurama's return. They were still funny, but didn't really capture the really peak stuff. Though finally seeing Gwen didn't disappoint.

The football part of the Arena Football ad is pretty much how I see football. Also the guy tripping over the root and blowing his head off. I had to stop my pvr because i could not stop laughing.

I like at the end the Black Agent is all "What?" when he starts dancing. It was a good usage of the subplots as not actually plots, but more just showing how crazy Stans life is.

I figured at the end of the show it was going to turn out that Steve and Snot were a couple. I guess that would have been to obvious of a joke. I liked the serial killer version of Snot "Are those girls? Does your basement...have...one of those drains in it?"

There was some discussion on one of my facebook groups about AD, a member was asking if the show had gotten any better because they were surprised it was on season 11, and many of us were very much yes! I said that once it dropped the very basic "Conservative dad doesn't understand his family" and fully embraced the insanity the shows situation could bring, it became brilliant. Plus letting Roger out was one of the best decisions they made.

I loved the translation arguments between Francine and Santa, because from what I've heard from English Masters student friends of mine, that poo poo can get intense. Beowulf was the work they were examing and there was serious arguments about minutia of the differences between the versions that people were working on.
