arguably the push bar is superior to the door knob, although an equivalent pull bar has not yet been devised

but the push bar is a microsoft product and 8% of the time is actually a poorly labeled fire exit and when you push through it, it automatically unlocks then sets off the fire alarms and you bluescreen

touching your screen doenst work well unless you're holding the device. (or some specialized poo poo like a POS terminal or w/e)

stebe knew this, i hoep everyone else does soon too and we stop trying to shoehorn touch into things that people dont touch.

it works incredibly well on devices you're holding though

idk i guess maybe thats why it took off. touching stuff on devices you are not holding is nice when its simple though: my company's registration thing has an ipad built into a stand and people seem to just love the "tap anywhere" window after registering to an extent that if we don't put it there we lose >10% of registrations

that's a real shame because you're missing out on half of the benefit of the dock which is the one major loving purpose of the entire thing, that it's: A thing with all your commonly used poo poo in one place that's easy to get to.

i mean yeah you might not be running a terminal or skype or whatever at one moment but when its often enough that you pretty much just expect it to be running on accident and look at the dock to find that its not, it belongs in there.

Mac users like to put prefs on their dock, but I don't see anybody in Windows putting the control panel on their dock. Like what is so important that you're messing with settings on a regular basis?

Linux users have to constantly tweak the os to keep it running.

the default yosemite dock arrangement does not suffer from this issue, only when impure third party icons are introduced is the beauty of jony's creation sullied.

use Cmd-Shift-4, then Space, to take a photo of the dock without all the crap around it.

also, don't use chrome on OS X. or on anything else.
