Only problem is that you can no longer gives ships multi-word names like the CNS Karl Marx and such if you use the space bar hotkey.

Although I do think it's kind of weird that they picked someone of Baltic German descent to be the guy most likely to subscribe to Russian ultranationalism.

It takes a little longer, but I usually keep a few guys in Chicago and keep the western front with the federals small while advancing on the AUS down the East Coast. In my last CSA run the PSA actually allied with the federals and it still worked just fine (to be fair, the PSA just sat at their borders until I hit West Texas).

I'd say hit Mexico fast and hard and puppet them. A socialist Mexico will prove a strong ally when war breaks out with the Entente. Even more important, if Centroamerica is willing to play ball, you could have a land route to the Canal Zone.

Also requesting that one of the mini-LPs be Italian Federation. There are tons of possible directions to go in; I just finished a game where the Pope I elected invited a Savoyard claimant to the throne to serve as head of state who then bitch slapped Austria (No Cavour Required) for Venice and Trento and then radically industrialized the economy before teaming up with Germany against the Syndies and eventually breaking away to form a Mediterranean alliance block and entertaining ridiculous irredentist fantasies in North Africa and the Balkans.

Probably doesn't help that ROC rises up in a bunch of disjointed enclaves throughout the AOG and most of its forces are usually encircled and destroyed within days.

I certainly haven't ever had my CV fleet beaten. They never get hit by anything except other CVs due to range, I dunno what Gort is talking about.
I mean it, they literally don't suffer a single equipment casualty in most battles.

I never play as huge naval powers, so I've never tried it myself, but I have heard that the ideal time to hit a CV fleet is when there is bad weather in the same sea zone. The planes can't take off so their utility is significantly hampered.

Italian Federation would be great. I've had really satisfying games with every potential pope/leader (minus Pius XII).

I'd also suggest Serbia because of its compelling storyline of revenge against neighboring Balkan powers that has the potential to turn me into a Paradox forums-grade Balkan nationalist. Plus there's a little Byzantophilia/Megali Idea stuff in there if everything goes right with the Belgrade Pact!

Portugal and National France or any of its variations can leave the Entente and join too, but IIRC it's dependent upon Carlists winning the SCW. Which I've seen the AI do in like 2 of 100 games. Typically if that's what you want you have to physically intervene in the SCW, but it's my go-to strategy for reclaiming France because Canada is rear end at being an ally in any respect other than naval or air support and you open up another front for the Commune to deal with (or two if Italian Federation joins as well).

I've only played as Bhartiya in 1.6 and managed to unite India and bring Burma into the fold as well, but I've been eyeing PrinceFed for a while now for a playthrough. I haven't had a game yet where Osman Ali Khan didn't say "gently caress y'all I am the emperor" leading to every non-Hyderabadi prince seceding and allowing him to get double-rolled by Delhi and the Bhartiyas, but I'm really curious about creating a second Mughal Empire amidst that clusterfuck.
