so do y'all think when you turn 18 a % of people start believing in god or something?

I was raised Catholic and I went to Catholic elementary and high schools (in Canada) and a lot of the stuff I hear coming out of the US weirds me out. I mean when my friends and I were that age we'd probably be saying that we were thankful for Transformers or Ninja Turtles or something.

Nobody in Canada calls that bacon. That's ham.

Canadians do have a unique bacon, called peameal bacon. It's basically the round part of the English bacon rolled in cornmeal, pickled and sliced. You want to call something 'Canadian bacon,' it should be that.

I thought peameal bacon was what other people call Canadian bacon so now I'm very confused.

Someone in the trans megathread claims to know Stefoknee. Apparently she's real and authentically that hosed up, which is tragic for everyone in her vicinity.

I'm not the person you referred to but I used to be Facebook friends with Stefoknee until she went way off the deep end a couple of years ago. She got hosed over by her wife who freaked out after Stefoknee transitioned and laid false accusations on her. She eventually won in court but something about the long legal battle, going homeless, and other stuff caused her brain to break one day and I :yikes:ed out of there.

Edit: She's into BDSM (nothing wrong with that) but I'm pretty sure that was the inspiration for her name (Stef on knee) which was kind of gross. Also the adult baby stuff is gross too but that started close to the end of me deciding not to go anywhere near her

Edit 2: I read the story and I'm relieved that I don't know anyone else involved in it, jesus christ

Everyone self-proclaimed cyborg that I've ever seen is a coward who just wears stuff or thinks something less body-altering than an ear piercing makes them a cyborg. If they were serious they'd be sawing off their legs and replacing them with those spring-loaded running prosthetics or something.

It's weird how the buzz in the news about the missing CDC guy is all "I can't believe such a successful guy would just walk away like that" when all I can think is he died in an alleyway somewhere and there's going to be an ebola outbreak at a homeless shelter after someone nicked his wallet.

I mean maybe I'm the weird one but was no one worried he managed to catch something at his job?

There's an amber alert system in place that they already regularly use though. They shouldn't use the disaster warning system for it. They're using some assholes calling 911 over it and "won't somebody please think of the children" as a cover for their fuckup

By the way, the system they sent out the message as is the Canadian-branded version of the American Presidential Alert system and as far as I've heard the Americans don't use that for amber alerts, and Trump has even been restrained enough to not just use it as a Twitter substitute

Yeah that's why I'm even posting about it in here, because the weird part of the story is that they used the 2019 version of an air raid siren for it

edit: people using 911 as a complaint line is also pretty :psyduck: like i don't even know how to get into their heads to understand the thought process for that. Even calling the non-emergency police line for it would be weird
