Magratheans are the inhabitants of the legendary planet, Magrathea. Because their planet-building operation was so successful, they reduced the rest of the galaxy to abject poverty.

Since no planet was rich enough to buy a planet from them, all Magratheans decided to sleep through the recession until the galactic economy returned to a level which could require and pay for their services. The only Magrathean to appear in the story is Slartibartfast.

I think the devs had. "non-face images" and "faces images" folders for training, and they had the wrong file accidentally in "non face images". So the neural network was accidentally learned about that particular face, despite not being the intention of the devs.

Living in a country with a lot of story and art is unpractical - Is like living in a castle - you need to pass a ethernet cable trough a wall- but is a solid wall of stone and you have to ask permision to the united nations human heritage and national art council and a signature from 5 architects before you can dig the hole

Pope Hilarius II posted:

Well yes, the word 'robot' finds its origin in R.U.R., which is all about the uprising of robot slaves against their capitalist exploiters, and 'robot' itself stems from a Slavic word for 'labour'. So the topic is inherently socio-political and always has been ever since the advent of the 2nd Industrial Revolution. Before that, the creation of artificial life was usually about hybris or man's relation to God (e.g. Frankenstein, stories about the golem - and to be sure this theme still echoes in 'cautionary tales' like Terminator). But, most robot stories are either explicitly anti-capitalist (e.g. Robocop) or implicitly so (e.g. Blade Runner).

Frankenstein is not about "man relation to god"- Frankestein is about neglecting parenting- how lack of love in education can create monsters - the responsability of parents with their chidrens- The monster in Frankestein is the doctor - not the creature - the creature become evil and vicious but only because is treaten like trash

Not really related but the origina Dracula is not about Drakula- Is about a group of people doing a "bug hunt" - kind of like the movie "Aliens"

So Google, who wrote TensorFlow. The software used for the all these "AI used for <problem> with high success".

Machine learning is only one field of AI, but since a few years ago 99% of the AI news are about ML and 99% of these are about somebody using TensorFlow for <problem>. Has if the field is doing a lot of progress. Where is just new <problem> where TensorFlow is useful.

I watched the first episode of the serie, and it aged horribly,, the pace was kind of slow. I like Columbo, he was friendly even to the people he suspicious where murderers asked the questions and had a life outside his job.

I will probably try again and check other seasons of random episodes, maybe I can find a trail of good episodes.
