Why are the rooms so tiny in this mansion? Everything just seems so cramped, even the kitchen. If i'd buy a big house i'd want big rooms and big open areas. Not a row of cupboards to sleep in.
Also, how the hell do you buy a mansion where the AC only works in one loving room?

That's the American McMansion! Looks huge and expensive from the outside and brags about how many rooms it has, but all the rooms are cramped and shoved into odd spaces.

So I actually watched the video and yeah, that mansion is really lovely. They paid God knows how much money for this place and all of the bedrooms are decorated in the worst "streamer aesthetic" possible. Neon LED lights everywhere (even on the window frames and in random hallways), a bunch of computers with transparent cases and even more LEDs so the rooms all look like a lame rave, cheap mini fridges (at least one of which is already broken), and dumbass decisions like mounting a TV in a way that permanently locks the closet door open because the screws went through it. Like these guys are actually bad at homes in a way that isn't "We're not millionaires that everyone should aspire to."

That tweet aged pretty badly, in hindsight. The cruise ship was attacked at the end of March 2020, and the Venezuelan navy defended itself by claiming that the cruise ship might be transporting mercenaries for some batshit insane Bay of Pigs scenario.

The actual ships carrying mercenaries landed just over a month later, roughly 100km west of the thing with the cruise ship.

Okay but does it count if those were the worst mercenaries of the century?

E: Actually, it's completely irrelevant whether it's a sailor or not, I'm just surprised meat has vitamin C.

Not fresh, raw. Cooking rapidly destroys the vitamin C. The Inuit traditionally survived on a diet that’s almost 100% hunting because they ate much of their catch raw (often frozen to preserve it) and ate the organs and blood as well.

Guy Fieri is famously nice. He officiated a bunch of gay weddings in honor of his sister, who died before it became legalized, and raised over $20 million in relief funds for unemployed restaurant workers during COVID. His show is also focused on bringing attention to good restaurants offering cheap local food in a way that boosts their businesses to the point of sometimes rescuing them from closure. He just has a really loud and flamboyant style so people started impulsively hating him.

The guy spent about 20 minutes determining all aspects of her future based on the shape of her nose. Turns out the pre-nose job reading was wildly inaccurate, but the post-nose job reading was right on the money.

Ian Fleming visited a fortune teller in Tokyo in 1959 and asked if he could predict his own fortune. He said no, his rival is much more accurate at that. Fleming neglected to ask if the reverse was true.

Two weeks later, the rival was murdered by a third competitor.

Hannigan found only a few skeletons in the closet, and sadly he could’ve found more.

He brought up:

Maurice Washington bailing out the team during its home-opener against South Alabama despite involvement in revenge porn that got him suspended for a half, and eventually dismissed from the team

Lawrence Phillips breaking into Scott Frost’s apartment, and dragging his ex-girlfriend down flights of stairs before smashing her head into a mailbox

The university’s stint on probation as a result of Frost’s illegal practices, which got him a five-day ban, which Hannigan noted

New offensive coordinator Mark Whipple’s suspension while at UMass for comparing a foul against one of his players to “rape”

Offensive analyst Ron Brown’s rampant homophobia that goes unchecked because scripture says “homosexuality is a sin”

The waste of human flesh (my words, not his) “fans” who told three of their own players that they deserved to be lynched for kneeling in protest prior to the national anthem before a game in 2016

quote:

“There are sound financial reasons for bringing this match to Dublin. The Nebraska faithful will travel in great numbers and spend hugely. The live television broadcast will include sumptuous shots of scenic Ireland and inevitably twee shamroguery to boot.”

I don’t know what the gently caress “twee shamroguery” is, but my guess is it’s the cultural equivalent of donning a sombrero on Cinco de Mayo. Also, I’m using that, and his kicker “Céad míle fáilte” — which means “100,000 welcomes.” Just gotta figure out how to pronounce it.

It’s not every day that your team gets roasted in Gaelic, and even though I’m a Husker fan, I feel a certain kinship with Hannigan. Screaming into the void about the injustices of capitalistic assholes trading their integrity for a sizable profit is three-fourths of what I do.
