The kids' feelings are super natural and fitting to how that abusive household played out, but I agree with GhostofJohnMuir that them talking about that during the cathartic scene where the family steels their resolve to defeat Toya makes it seem like the story is supporting their irrational, harmful thoughts. It doesn't ruin the scene or anything, but it's an iffy beat.

Spoilers are starting to pop up, and i like it All Might confesses everything about OfA to Jeanest and Hawks Endeavour also hears it. Does not understand. Deku is discharged. Press conference from the Top 3. Hero Schools nationwide close down. Next one is the big one that got me to gush about it here Deku drops out of UA. Leaves a letter for his classmates and everything. Ends with him looking down over the city. addendum to the last bit The letter is apparently (could be someone just hopping in on the spoilertrain to mess with people tho) addressed to Uraraka, specifically, and i'm seeing some people on twitter legitimately angry that it's not to Bakugo lmao. I do like Deku being special due to quirkless in the sense that it makes it have a hard time limit that ties to the world setting. But it is also like directly feeding into the parts of the series that I don't care for, mainly shonen tropes added to Midoriya. Like the New Powers thing is something I still don't like. As for the text spoiler talk, me, personally, won't bring them up anymore, it was something for THIS chapter. This is absolutely the turning point to the "end" of the manga (which will probably take like a year or three). loving last page referencing Deku's first bit of dialogue, drat.

I really like this darker deku design. I always thought his mask was loving stupid, but seeing the bunny ears torn like that and the All Might eyes going is pretty cool. Wonder if it's gonna turn out that the eyes are one of the new quirks all along.
