Does anybody know how they do the ruined city scenery? When looking out the window at a burned out city, is that just CGI?GrAviTy84 posted:I still can't tell who's serious in this thread. Thought it was an ok ep. Lots of redundancy in storytelling, good cinematography though. I don't mind the redundancy because a lot the people watching this show are idiots and can't keep details straight anyway. I honestly don't know what the haters even want out of this show. Character dev is "boring", survivalism is "boring", stabby stabby zombieheads is "boring", what do you guys even want?

Of course there will be bullets flying when the rescue goes down but I think some mind gently caress "The Prisoner" back and forth could be fun. I don't think the writers have it in them though.

Noah's actor seemed to overdo it to me this episode. I get he's amped up and poo poo, but it didn't really work for me. And I quite liked him the first time around.Fiendish Dr. Wu posted:Which, by the way was particularly creepy to us because my wife sleeps in the exact sleeping bag

I can also do it a bit more explicitly.moths posted:The vast majority of criticism is that there aren't enough stabsplosions or finding innovative ways to say "I wasn't paying attention." You're not paying attention. I'm saying this as somebody who liked all the episodes so far but for the one with the bad dialogue in the hospital. They're all really good at murdering people and killing zombies and looking grim and stuff. That's old news. Suddenly, a yo-yo! I think people are a bit too much invested in how tactically smart the people on the show are. It's not a military training video. It's a TV show about people during the Zombie apocalypse.

Unzip and Attack posted:I definitely agree with this. The music that was playing in the background, combined with the awesome acting in that scene, is probably the most memorable moment of the series. That and the lone zombie wandering in that field of wheat in a sport coat as Shane rides by in a car. That single image is the most powerful imo and I was very excited when they added it to the opening credits.

I don't like how for two communities in a row, their most salient dirty secret is abuse of women. It's a women in refrigerators thing. I guess in a way it's only realistic, as the physically weaker sex historically suffers disproportionally more under less civilised conditions (baring outright warfare), but it's still lazy storytelling.

Maybe I don't watch enough shows, but Aaron is probably the best gay rear end-kicking guy I've ever seen. Not to say he's perfect, but there's much to like about him. He doesn't seem like the writers trying to paint against the cliche. He just seems like a dude who kills zombies using improvised weapons like the best of them, and also likes guys. And of course, still gay enough to make bad people angry at their TV.
