I definitely agree with this. The music that was playing in the background, combined with the awesome acting in that scene, is probably the most memorable moment of the series. That and the lone zombie wandering in that field of wheat in a sport coat as Shane rides by in a car. That single image is the most powerful imo and I was very excited when they added it to the opening credits.

Weirdly enough I have no problem with milkshakes, ice cream, cheese, or even chocolate milk or putting milk in my coffee. Just plain white milk.

It was better to leave it out. They'd already established that the governor was a monstrous person, all it would've done was aggravate viewers further (and provide creepy fap material for some). I feel like the only reason Kirkman includes it in the comics is because he has a thing for rape and poo poo that borders on suffering porn; it rarely seems to do much for character development or plot advancement.

I'm also not surprised that Rick was getting his rear end half kicked by Pete; it's not Rick fights hand to hand with living people all that often for practice and Pete has like at least half a foot and fifty pounds on him. And beer muscles.
