This is how [he] plays these kinds of games. He picks on one person to ostracise and forms a gang against that person in order to manipulate the game. He leads from a culture of fear by making you think if you cross him you'll be the next to go and once he has the numbers he just rides roughshod over everything. Welcome to Popularity Contest! A game for 20 players. In this game, your goal is to be the last person standing. Each game day will consist of roughly 48 hours, and each player can vote to have another player eliminated. Each play may privately submit a single vote, and it may not be changed, and at the end of the game day, the player with the most votes is eliminated. However, if a player receives all but one vote, those votes are nullified, leaving only that person’s vote effective. This rule does not apply to the final three. Players may not self vote. Even if all votes are submitted, the day will still run its full course unless all players unanimously agree to end the day prematurely (independently through PM). Players may not abstain from votes, and any votes abstained from will count for the next person ahead of them alphabetically. Players who fail to vote twice in a row will instead be eliminated. All votecounts will be revealed at the end of the game day, but you will not know who voted for whom. For each successful vote on an elimination candidate, a player will receive a “point”. These points are private currency that are largely used in tiebreakers. Points are trade-able, so long as both parties agree to the transaction. In the event of a tie on the vote, the player who leaves the game will be the one with the least points. If there is still a tie for points, the tied players will collaborate to eliminate a player of their choice. If they cannot unanimously agree, all tied players will be eliminated. At three players remaining, the players remaining instead vote for a winner instead of an elimination. In the event of a tie, the winner is the player who has the most points. However, if this also ties, the winner is the player with the least. If there is a full three-way tie, no one wins. In the unlikely event that a two player finale is engineered, points will be the tiebreaker, and if the points are even, there will be no winner. In the unlikely event of a single player finale, that player would be the winner. In the unlikely event that all remaining players are simultaneously eliminated, there will be no winner. There is full out-of-thread communication allowed in this game. No editing of posts. No pre-game alliances. Don't Be A Jerk And Ruin My Game. You may quote chatlogs and crap. You may not quote moderator communications. You may not use screenshots. Chatlogs are fine because you can fake them, but screenshots take a *little* fun out of it. Also, live players may not communicate with dead players. Come on. Penalty for rule breaking will typically be immediate elimination. The final prize for the winner is $50 in amazon/paypal/whatever gift cards. No conspiring to split the prize, dorks, that's no fun. I could expand to 20 players and fit in everyone on priority if merk declines. However, there would be approximately six 36-hour days to compensate (likely days 14-19 or something similar) -- my main concern is having this game wrapped up before Christmas. Are there any objections to this idea?

By the way, so everyone is aware: Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27 & 28) will both count as Non-Days, so that if a day starts on the 26th, for instance, the deadline will be on the 30th, because holiday.

All of that is pretty accurate, except you can't quit. If you "quit" (stop posting, etc.) you will simply be eliminated upon the second failure to vote and at least one person would just snatch that tasty prize so go for it, I guess?
