i never really got good at this game, but i feel like the only way to get a high score is to game the enemy spawns somehow. when the game starts to spam battleships, it means fewer planes + boats in the level, and it's impossible to get a good combo at that point. i feel like 1 battleship counts as multiple smaller enemies too, in terms of the overall cap. not sure what the best strategy would be, but i guess it involves keeping the initial swarm of planes alive and picking away at it when your combo starts to run out, and just hope you don't get too many battleships.
