Last night I was reloading when it would give me a 3 truck delivery. It takes away a couple crates if you force quit the application (xbox). If i let it refill back to full it always gave the same mission, and if i triggered it right after reloading it always gave the same mission (not a 3 truck one). It may be random, but it seems possible if you time it right you might be able to trigger a specific mission. Has anyone looked into this? Anyways if your solo just reload till you get a mission you can do most of the deliveries for, but you may have to deliver at one crate less than full to trigger a different mission.

Ive had a save for years on xbone but i decided to get it for pc and start a new character recently and while the biker businesses arent that great if you play alone a lot, the clubhouse is probably still worth getting first just for the extra missions you can do as leader. They pay better than contact missions and it adds some variety. Also if you are starting out contact missions pay around 100k an hour and in the beginning when you have other various errands to run like buying clothes or guns you might as well be doing it with a mission timer running and getting paid for it. Honestly i gently caress around so much doing the ceo/biker stuff even if it pays more i make more money on contact missions because its more focused and even failure pays. Gets boring though. Anyways my two cents on starting advice.

Medullah posted:Karuma is pretty much a no brainer for newbies. It's the best cheat code for doing contact missions early on. Yeah. This then the buzzard then buy whatever businesses imo. The buzzard ironically will make you far more money than a business and i bet the karuma does too just from the times it saves your rear end from a failed mission.

Maxwell Lord posted:It feels like they've put in SO MUCH STUFF into the game that there are simply no longer enough buttons to actually handle everything. I don't doubt that even with that, they could have figured out a better scheme than they have, it's taken me 21 ranks to figure out how to consistently roll dodge. Im too poor to have these problems but they really need a modifier button on controllers, cause i would like to assign some of the stuff in the quick menu to the controller like snacks or the mask thing which is a feature hardly worth using.

The bad thing about the new rdr is there probably wont be liars dice or poker because of gambling laws now that you can spend real money in game. Itll be interesting to see how they handle traversing a much bigger map when horses are the fastest method of travel. I could see paying to fast travel being a thing.

I figured that was why there was no casino in 5. Have they made any comment at all about the casino in 5?

Psion posted:GTA V does a really good job of compressing LA into recognizable neighborhoods in Los Santos so you get the sense of the city without having to drive 35 miles to get anywhere. I don't think it should be bigger at all. look at a reasonably high res satellite map of LA and you can probably name the LS neighborhoods without even trying. Parachute mission are pretty much everywhere and most put you high enough you can get halfway across the map really quick or trigger a quick one and just land wherever you want to be and quit. Im not sure if its ever faster than just hopping on a bike and hauling rear end though honestly.
