What I personally found odd is that I met Ramsey at the gates, and just had a bit of a joking dialogue with him, something about asking him if it's cold outside. And then the gates opened by themselves, without me giving the orders. Given the surprised look by the characters, I thought that this was some sort of a hint that -someone- was sabotaging the effort... and Royland was noticeably absent. There's a reason why I didn't pick him to be the Sentinel... while I do think he'd make the better choice for this time, I just don't trust the man.
