I can't imagine a situation in which the Forrester's don't declare for Stannis. Well.. aside from the Boltons and Whitehills completely wiping them out.

In fact, I can't think of a lot of houses that won't declare for Stannis. Well.. assuming he is able to retake Winterfell. Which....... we will see.

That's where I hope this is going. I understand Stephen Dillane isn't the easiest guy to get, but that'd be pretty great.

An easy way to have choices matter is if they impact the action scenes. Saving someone in an earlier scene means they take out a guard you would have had to mash Q at otherwise. You wouldn't even need to record extra dialogue, just use grunts.

As fitting as the schedule on this thing slipping would be, aren't they aiming to have it all done by the time the show starts up again?

This was good. Definitely the first telltale episode in a while that didn't reek of inevitability.

I hope the game takes a page from A Clash of Kings in episode 4.

Ferreting out the spy Tyrion style and telling all four parties different poo poo and then see which one reaches Whitehill ears.

"Mom, I'm going to burn their barracks."

"Ser, I'm going to knock a watchmen off the walls."

"Duncan, I'm sneaking Talia out at midnight"

"Maester, I need a poison."

Something like that, hopefully.

I really think he's a Whitehill spy, setting you up for a massive fall, not working for Varys.

In the books I know that the Little Birds are supposed to be mute, but I don't know about the show.

Invading Meereen was fun, even if it was also the least stealthy stealth sequence in the history of gaming.

Also, breaking Griff's face was satisfying. I hope they keep him under a hood or something for the trade.

Also, Samoa Joe's playing a pit-fighter!

I get the feeling this episode came out hotter than usual.

I was sorry to see Roderick die, but was really disappointed that Samoa Joe ate it already. Also that Griff seems quite unmaimed. And it was really dumb of the Whitehills to kill the ruling lord rather than capture him. The animations in the pit fight, while pretty, had absolutely no weight, either. The sense of scope was just shanked by having Asher & co show up after a voyage of five minutes, too. Oh yeah, bye Finn, thanks for coming I guess.

I get the impression they felt the need to have a dick punch of a choice to end the episode on and were willing to sacrifice all other narrative aspects else to get there.

The game would have been better if it was just from Mira's point of view. Going from sheltered handmaiden to unassuming power broker and tremendously impacting events far away sounds like a great premise for an adventure game of either the classic or modern design. Ah well, still the best official ASOIAF game so far.

If you looked at this as a video game you were destined to be disappointed from the start.
