Bought the game a week ago, I enjoyed my two hour conversations with schemers and psychopaths, and I'm looking forward to the next episode, though mainly for Asher. The engines showing its age but I didn't see any serious graphic failures or experience any glitches. Though I did have trouble getting it to play in full screen at first. I played on my creaky old laptop that's held together with electrical tape so I usually have more trouble then most fiddling with the settings to get a post 08 game to run.

Apart from Asher I think I'm most looking forward to seeing Mira's storyline progressing. I think hers has the most wiggle room for the game despite being most tightly anchored to the shows characters.

She misses her brother so badly that she would be willing to see the Westerosi people and culture destroyed if it meant she could bring him back.

(FYI to other players: that part is from the full version of the song, which plays over the end credits for the episode.)

I was about to ask what choices gave you such insane lyrics. I guess I'm just adding to the chorus of Ep 2 being a strong improvement even though I really enjoyed the first one. I may be imagining it but I felt QTE sword fights with Asher were a lot smoother. Good to see Mira's story developing beyond begging Margery for favours. I agree its odd that Rodrik survived a week+ on a corpse cart at first I thought since you don't see any Whitehill soldiers at the gate with the Ser Shoutsalot maybe it was set before the end of Ep 1 but then I remembered Ser Shouty shouted about Rodrik being alive so there went that theory.

Really looking forward to getting some sweet, sweet revenge on the Whitehills.

That's amazing.

Yeah I'd never heard "glass" used as a verb in that way until playing Wolf Among Us, either.

It's a pretty common expression in Britain, also bottling, the same thing but with a bottle.

I remember the old joke "The English are the only people to use glass as a verb".

Also beware if you see an option to give someone a Glasgow kiss.

That means giving someone a big grin, right? :ohdear:

Nah, that's something different, the Glasgow Kiss is a euphemism for a headbutt or nutting.

I believe that's "bottled it."

That's correct.

I hate Borderlands but Tales From the Borderlands is really really good. It has more of an illusion of interactivity and exploration than their other recent games.

But holy poo poo they are really loving up the release schedule when we've had two GoT games but the second TFtB hasn't dropped yet. :psyduck:

I agree, didn't like Borderlands 1 but got Tales due to the recommendations on this thread, and it almost made regret selling my copy.

ED: Also God help anyone who made balanced choices and got a random-as-gently caress traitor, of the two traitors you saw coming a mile away. I so wanted it to turn out to be something completely unexpected, and I also wanted some loving hints... so the "your choices determine the traitor" thing was kinda obnoxious.

ED2: Also dealing with the traitor was dumb - Talia running off because I didn't kill him ON THE SPOT (what the gently caress) when he had info we needed, and then the subsequent response of "walking into an ambush you absolutely know is an ambush, instead of hitting the ambush." I mean fuuuuck. Again, I didn't hate this episode but I do see your points.

I lost my save data and couldn't be arsed to replay 10 hours of game play to get to episode 5 so I played it straight away, funnily enough all the "major" choices were the same, it was only the minor ones that were different. Like not taking the opportunity to paste Gryff's smug face in. One thing I wondered about though was the traitor is it just that its always the one you didn't choose as second in command? I got ser Roylan.

One thing I really hated was the obvious attempts to amp up the suspense with Talia not telling you who it was straight away, even though she has proof. And to be honest I don't really believe either of them would be plausible traitors. Ser Duncan's a schemer but then he did send his own nephew on a suicide mission for the sliver of a chance this North Grove thing exists and can help. And Ser Roylan is so openly hostile to the White Hills and even uses the lack of aggression on your part as the cause of his dissatisfaction. But that just makes him seem the biggest moron ever, `Your bringing this house down and letting our sworn enemies triumph. Which is why I've decided to help bring down the house and ensure the White Hills are victorious!`.

Still Ashers part was good, and Gared's was enjoyable.
