Hakkesshu posted:I think they really nailed the atmosphere this time, and I don't know if I'm imagining this, but I thought graphically looked a lot better too; there was a lot of really neat cinematography on display. That song was awesome. Man, good poo poo, Telltale. I noticed it too. The animation was still a little stiff, but the expressions and subtle glances seemed much improved.

Was it just me or was that episode way way longer than standard Telltale fare? Not complaining, I'm just surprised how long it was. Very very good episode though. I hope we're now going to get Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones alternating months. It was nice having them on week after the other, but I prefer alternating months. No more long waits Telltale! TWAU's delay was likely due to the killer being figured out after the first episode and a mad scramble to rewrite.

Its sad really. I was super excited when TT:GoT was announced cause Walking Dead was so good. This series has just been so bleeeehhh. Every episode everything gets set back to status quo despite what choices you make: I mean, its the best GoT Game, but that's not really saying much cause I feel like its the worst thing Telltale has done post Walking Dead season 1 (yeah, I said it...GoT is worse than Walking Dead season 2). Its been 4 episodes of wheel spinning, and then this one just bullet-trains to the conclusion, drat your choices and narrative logic. I don't expect the game to be completely reactive, there's no budget for that. I think Telltale bit off way more than they could chew with this one. Multiple characters seemed like an interesting idea, but there's too many "story balls" to juggle, and the narratives can't develop in any major from choices made so that they don't trod on any of the other character's stories. Tales from the Borderlands at least feels like its going somewhere and your small choices do seem to bend the narrative slightly. Also its refreshing to have a funny game. Ah well, Life is Strange's next episode will be out next week, hope its better. Saved Asher cause he's more interesting.. I don't expect it to amount to much. Dolash posted:<Spoiler about who the plot should have focused on> Lot of really good points, and thinking about it I think rather than having the games focus on 5 different members of the same house spread out so far geographically to have little to no effect on one another, the games would have been better if they'd focused on a single member of 2 houses that are at war with one another. Shades of grey, much more Game Of Throne-y. Play as the Whitehills and the Ironwraths and just focus on their struggle. But then I suppose they could pull in all those actors from the show.

Karnegal posted:poo poo, just sticking with the adventures of Asher and Breska would have been a great time. B..B..but all those big name GoT actors! They'd go to WASTE! ... j/k I strongly suspect the requirement to use the GoT actors and actresses really hurt story flexibility. Definitely would have been a better series as something akin to Hedge Knight.
