I know this came out in '89 but this is early 90's as hell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCsmIHLjM_o

Even though this Macbeth adaption was clearly inspired by Mad Max, it is super 90's. From Macbeth's (played by Sean Pertwee) frosted tips to the Matrix-y outfits and the generic techno music and the horrible CGI. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO0L5AWDACQ

Caedus posted:My preferred classic rock station (No aux jack) got around the whole thing by changing from "60's, 70's, and 80's" to "70's, 80's and 90's". It worked, they still play all the core rock songs talked about in the study, but they get to pick and choose the rock-iest stuff from the 90's without too much complaint. It's kind of nice to hear CCR next to AC/DC next to Foo Fighters. This song was number one on the UK charts during the BBC's drug awareness week. E's are good! E's are good! These effin E's are good! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFJdUJg4wOk

ATC* may have been from the early 2000's but they were one of the most 90's bands that ever existed (as was everything that was big in 2000, weird year for music). I've heard them described as a cross between Eiffel 65 and a dollar store Ace Of Base. Don't think I could put it better. All of their songs had an ear-wormy xylophone riff, a key change at the end and embarrassing choreography in the music videos. You've probably had their biggest, and only hit, Around The World (La La La La La) stuck in your head at some point. It's also a cover of a Russian pop song from 1998. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79EDVGfazEA They made two other songs of note before they broke up in 2003. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO0JvkMynCQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_C_6IFqTof4 * They were later forced to change their name to A Touch Of Class after ATB sued them. There were a lot of CG characters in music videos in the late 90's/early 2000's. But the only examples I can think of right now are Blue Da Ba De and Strawberry Kisses by Nikki Webster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNKLn0A-1CM In case you're wondering why that exists, Nikki Webster was in the 2000 Olympics opening ceremony the year before. My class was forced to dance to this song in grade 2 for an assembly. I recently discovered that it wasn't something from Nickelodeon. It actually charted and played on the radio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0p3jn7ODuc Edit: Jesus christ, that album went triple platinum. Thank god I'm not old enough to remember that year. I wish stuff like Mr Vain would get played in the nightclubs around here. Maybe the top 40 is just poo poo right now but most of what gets played is awkward to try to dance to. This isn't a dance song but I've been kind of obsessed with it lately. https://vimeo.com/98788459 Speaking of mid 90's songs by British artists of Indian descent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LBnMRWeV-E Edit: This is my favourite weird Eurodance song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujbvpdsKSkE Celery Face has a new favorite as of 08:23 on Sep 16, 2015 |
