Looks like Prust slowed down when he realized what was happening. Caught Hank off balance but it wasn't malicious. Good for Klein to stand up for him too. Pretty much turns out right.

Yeah don't really have a problem with that and it takes one of Montreals most relied upon players off the ice

also he's been our best d-man this year so maybe it's time to accept that he'll make some defensive mistakes in return for logging a lot of icetime and being a good puckmoving offensive defenseman

He's playing better than last year, but neither this year nor last year has he played worth his cap-hit.

he wasn't good last year. he wasn't worth his cap hit last year.

but this year he's leading the canucks d in goals, points, +/- (yes at +2 he's the best) and hey blocked shots too cuz why not

and as far as the fancy stats go, he's leading in individual corsi (both at es and on the pp), corsi on (again both es and pp), and basically anything else you can come up with.

he's not being paid a lot more than hamhuis or bieksa so if he's not worth it this year, they ain't either, because they're nowhere near as good as he is.

fair enough for Bieksa, who I don't think is worth what we're paying him any more either.

I'm curious how much time the other D are getting on the PP compared to Edler who seems to be there all the time.

But in any case we'll see how he does down the stretch.

he's had 2:58 toi/gp compared to the next highest d at 2:04 toi/gp (bieksa)

but his ES numbers are far and away the best on the team too

The Hawks usually handle back-to-backs well, but they definitely look a bit off tonight. Also probably doesn't help they are playing an actual professional team, too!
