Peltier is absolutely in there to serve as an example to people who defy the government in a way that makes them nervous I agree the show can be really hard to listen to sometimes, it doesn't offer much hope. But Dave is a guy I really respect, and he and Gareth are great together. And I've learned a lot about US history through this show (I'm Canadian).
