Sweethome is suggesting LG too :p: http://thesweethome.com/reviews/the-best-washer-and-dryer/ Also, if you haven't had a front load before, remember to leave the door open after a washing to let it dry out. I've yet to encounter a front loader that doesn't develop mold if you keep the door shut. edit: Original post said Kenmore elite, I missed that Sweethome was updating their suggestion.

JPrime posted:I've got a house that's about 80% hard surface (laminate/tile) flooring, and 2 cats. Is there any sort of Roomba-like device that can handle the resulting hair puffs? For the US market there are only 2 makers to bother with Roomba and Neato, everything else is generally too expensive or not as good. The performance is pretty similar between the two. The biggest negatives I can think of for each are: Neato: Bigger so it can't fit under as many things, noisier, reported battery life issues (as in loss of charge capacity in a few months) Roomba: Seemingly random pathing logic, it works but some people find this a deal breaker vs the Neato which has a laser to path a back and forth pattern. I lean towards the Roomba, I like their spinny side brush more. Things to keep in mind: -Maintenance - Unless you get a Roomba 870/880 you will have to clean the rollers pretty regularly to deal with hair build up. This applies to Neato and Roomba. 870/880s use this new brushless design that cuts down on tangles and makes cleanup much faster. -Wet Messes - If your cats ever make a wet mess on the floor, a robot vacuum is going to get gunked up and spread the mess out. -Regular manual cleaning - You still need to wipe the floors and vacuum with a traditional vacuum. Just not as often, like going from once a week to once a month. If you are fine with all that: -Bang for Buck Model - Roomba 650. All the models after this up to the 800 series aren't really any better in terms of performance. Not sure what the best place for a deal is. -Primo Model - Roomba 880. Has the brushless rollers, which require less maintenance and are easier to clean. But seriously, really expensive. Best bet for a deal is to go the a Bed Bath and Beyond with a 20% coupon. You could also look at the Braava and Scooba since you have a majority hard surface floor, though I don't think they are worth it. The Braava is a robot swiffer and the Scooba is a robot floor scrubber, but it can't do carpets. Also both of them are not set and forget. Where the Roomba has a charging base it will wake up from and return to, Braava and Scooba require setup each time you want to use them.

Is there a site around that gives good recipe recommendations for lunch-box cooking? My closed office is large and comfortable, but it's all glass and I can't just lie down on the floor in full view of everyone so I guess naps are out, so I hope the company appreciates the sacrifices I'm making. I'm partial to these things: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011SUKOHE I like being able to meal prep once or twice a week and have a bunch of lunches ready to pull out. They're microwaveable with the lid on so I don't have to find something to cover the food like I do with my glass lock containers. I also like that I can keep foods separated without resorting to multiple containers. And if I need another compartment a larger 3 compartment version is made. Biggest downside to these things is that they aren't air-tight. Liquid can and will seep out if they aren't being stored flat.

Like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Starter-bulbs-Bridge-Newest/dp/B014H2OZAC I had both and ended up going with the HUE kit. I liked that I had a bit more control over the light up speed and intensity. The color HUE will also allow you to do some simulation sunrise/sunset stuff, but not sure if that really adds anything. I just go the basic white light HUE model and it's been good enough for me.

I've had mine for two years and it still as good as new. If you want a slimmer bifold, you'd have to go either the dynomighty wallet already linked above or SlimFold's own tyvek wallet. But I'd warn against them with the existence of the Slimfold Softshell. Tyvek wallets start looking pretty ragged after a few months. With the softshell you get good enough slimness and no ragged appearance. If you want slimmer than that you would need to go to the card holders, which require folding cash up. The memory foam pillow has a lot of support, it's pretty thick. There is a good side shot down in the customer reviews section. With buckwheat, the thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't compress. I had to remove some of the filler to make it comfortable for my neck. You can also make some adjustments to the pillow by building up or thinning the filler wherever you are resting your head. That being said, I'd get the memory foam pillow first. A. It's easily returnable through Amazon if you don't like it. B. Less fuss, you won't have to play around with the filler to find what works for you. C. Buckwheat pillows are something of an acquired taste. Many find them noisy and dislike how firm the pillow is.
