Vincent Van Goat posted:I can't remember, have they played any teams with mumpy players recently? I know they haven't played the Blues, and they played the Ducks for the opener, but I feel like there's another team that had it. The Wild had it, and Tanner Glass has it. How Tanner Glass got it, I'm not sure. But the Pens have played the Rangers recently. e: another thing to look at is if they've been in any visitors' dressing rooms after one of the mumps teams has been. toe knee hand fucked around with this message at 19:06 on Dec 2, 2014 |

hahaha Kevin Woodley @KevinisInGoal 55s56 seconds ago Hitchcock mercifully ends Brodeur as backup BS; simply not wired for it: "If he’s here, he’s going to play. He’s not going to back up"

Emerson Etem has mumps. I wonder if it's going to go around the AHL now, too. We haven't heard about any of these players' families or friends getting it... would that info just not have gotten out?

The "best defenseman" discussion yesterday encouraged me to work out some numbers I remembered seeing last season. Here is all-situations shot attempts for each team, along with the player who is on the ice for the most shot attempts for that team, and what percentage of the team's shot attempts he's on for. Some names on there surprised me, like Severson, Trouba, and Hartnell who is the only forward on the list who isn't a superstar. It mainly just reflects usage.

Gio posted:according to ESPN it's 5 teams, 11 players--those teams being the ducks, rangers, penguins, wild, and devils. No one really knows how many players it is because some teams haven't been publicizing it and it doesn't show up as mumps in tests half the time. The Blues probably had it - were the first ones to have it - but they didn't say anyone was out with mumps.
