Well yeah I totally expected it to all fall apart, but not RIGHT AWAY. Like at least give them a couple wins first before you tell everyone "oh don't worry about these guys, they're just more midcard fodder"

New Day was not 'jobbed out' at all. They won a match, then lost a match due to a run-in. The run-in started a program with another tag team, which they will likely beat on PPV.

The corollary to that is that if Vince sees you as belonging in a certain spot and you manage to get over beyond that spot he will try to engineer things to put you back in your place.

You're right, WWE clearly has plans for The New Day and they certainly won't be lost in the midcard mix in the next couple of months. I clearly jumped the gun in assuming they are wasting our time.

i think it's pretty disingenuous of you to get involved in a discussion about booking and then turn it into "but what do YOU think"? if you think talking about whether something makes booking sense rather than whether you personally enjoyed it is dumb then fine, but then don't get involved in the discussion to begin with.

I know Seth has the briefcase and all, but the fact that the stipulation isn't "winner is #1 contender" but is "If Cena loses, he's not #1 contender" makes Rollins look lovely IMO. It comes across like Rollins is so middling Cena doesn't deserve a shot if he can't beat him and Seth not being awarded the contendership if he wins makes him look completely unworthy of holding that spot.

I know I should have expected it, but it was still weird to watch the tag team turmoil match essentially just be a bunch of teams trading wins and losses. The New Day beats the Dusts who loses to Cesaro-Kidd who loses to the Usos who I guess didn't lose. I don't know, I wasn't too down on Raw but I think it's because I wasn't paying too much attention and I haven't watched for two weeks. Also my friend's babby grabbed at Alicia Fox's boobs during the "Vote for AJ's partner" screen and we pretty much lost it at that point.
