Isiah Thomas has been quoted as saying that todays NBA players are playing checkers while the 1980s NBA was playing chess. Put Isiah's bad boys in place of today's pistons and they wouldn't look much better. Josh Smith is the closest thing we'll get to a 1980's all star entering a time machine and trying to compete in the modern NBA.
