e: I love how they find a copy of The Anarchist Cookbook in Cyrus' cell, because gently caress you it's 1997

Even without enhancements, I still feel it's a capital G Good movie. At least on the same level as The Rock or Face/Off. In that you need to know what kind of movie you're getting yourself into because it's going to commit 200% and you better be on board for that.

I like the terrible gag when the giant baby runs down the Las Vegas strip to play with the neon guitar from the Hard Rock hotel because you can see the gag coming from a mile away but it doesn't make it any better. There's just so, so much wrong with that movie.

Reading Wikipedia summaries for episodes of the TV show I'm still not completely convinced that it isn't just some elaborate case of Wikipedia vandalism because it's all incredibly bonkers. I mean, trying to make a live-action TV series based on a movie franchise whose entire gimmick is shrinking and/or growing people means you have to take some liberties (especially considering you have a late-90s daytime TV budget) but seriously, just look at some of these:

Huh, I was going to say that sounds a lot like the Maniac Mansion* TV show, but then looking it up, I see that the HISTK show is what the Maniac Mansion people did afterwards? Edit: Looking at it again while sober, there's not nearly as much cast overlap as my drunk mind thought.

As to what comedy I like... well, certainly not jokes based on quoting other media. It reminds me too much of my teenage years of people thinking they were funny by repeating something that was funny out of context.

Why are podcasts even part of networks? I've never found a podcast through a network and iTunes is the one that tracks downloads and ratings. Why wouldn't advertisers just approach podcasts based on their audience size? It reminds me of when webcomics would be with certain hosting companies but then everyone figured out they could cut out the middleman and take more ad revenue for themselves. Lootcrate does business with a million lone nerd youtubers. If they don't buy equipment or provide representation and you can buy hosting and sell ads on the open market than what does their percentage really pay for?

Some people don't want to deal with marketing and editing and that ancillary stuff.
