LUFTHANSA YOU FUCKING DICKWEASEL
Post your favorite chase scenes, from movies, tv shows, news, etc. Can be car chases, foot chases or whatever. I guess I'll start it off.

First the car chase from The Hidden. Classic ferrari tearing up the streets of LA. I always enjoy it when cars in chases take damage and hit each other. The heavy metal soundtrack makes it so 80's too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ad52RbO-BEc

Next is the chase from Jack Reacher. Lack of music makes it more tense and it's the classic game of cat and mouse.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNbqRgj6JjQ

Of course any mentions of chases wouldn't be complete without mentioning Bullitt. The shots from inside the cars really sells how dangerous the chase is(this is only a small part of it.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31JgMAHVeg0

Lastly, for something a little different, here's the foot chase from District 13 or B13. Even though it's ten years old, it's still stands out.

So list some of your favorites.

I haven't seen it for decades, but I remember the car chase from 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes' as being over the top hilarious.

I can't seem to locate any vid of it, though :(

I can't remember what movie it was but there was a bunch of narrow streets and alleys and cobblestones and there were a bunch of cops with those sirens what go "EEEEE-AAWWW-EEEEE-AAWWW" and they knocked over a Perrier truck and a produce truck.

I've never seen it so I can't vouch for it, but I remember my dad always talking about a chase scene in Freebie and the Bean being expensive at the time because of how much stuff they destroyed shooting it.

Cool thing about this scene. Steve McQueen insisted on doing the driving himself, against the wishes of the producers, who thought it would be too dangerous. He loving did it anyway because "gently caress you, I'm Steve McQueen."

Everything was going fine until he missed a turn and very nearly crashed. They kept that part in the movie. It's the shot where he has to reverse. The producers overruled him after that and got an expendable driver to finish the scene.

I'll start with my comedy option, the foot chase in Memento:

Pretty much any of the car chases in the Blues Brothers are fantastic.

It's technically not a chase, but the driving in the Hire series that BMW made was pretty awesome. My favorite was the one with Madonna:

The thing about being in a chase is you have to keep focused. It's very important to have the roles of each participant very clear. Otherwise, you risk this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1gol0HwAXM

The whole scene was shot with one camera and they had to keep moving people/seats out of the car while it was going in order to get the shots. It really is an amazing scene (and movie)

The stunt driver was a guy named Bud Ekins, IIRC. There's a way to tell when it's him driving versus McQueen, but I don't remember what it is.

That was one of the best chase scenes in any movie. I being in complete "Oh gently caress, oh poo poo" mode the whole way through the first time I saw the movie. It's just so unexpected and intense.

For some loving reason, it doesn't appear anyone has posted proper uploads of the car chase from The Raid 2 (at least not without atrocious music alongside of it), but that entire sequence was amazing.

Black Gold!

The Blues Brothers has not one, but two car chases, one through Dixie Square Mall, and one through Wacker Drive. Yes, they are actually driving 120 mph through Lower Wacker Drive with stunt drivers and pedestrians.
