I'm probably biased because I want so badly for these lines to work well, but I think this is the sharpest the Habs have looked since the Tampa series last year.

They look ok, especially considering the all new lines.

Hopefully Therrien has the patience to stick with them for a little.

Helluva goddamn period by the Caps.

Speaking of Giordano

@mirtle
Flames possession with Giordano on the ice so far: 89%. Without him? 45%. Yeah.

this canucks performance so far is pretty lame. the thing i am most looking forward to is the meal i will make during intermission, instead of the many canucks mistakes that will inevitably lead to a goal when wonk eye's depth perception cripples him once more

he has 2 own goals in 2 game, as a small example

he overcommits, he kills any offensive zone possession where he touches the puck usually by whipping a baby wrister into a pad, has no vision of the ice, i think he has given up more breakaways than any d-man i have ever seen

These intermission guys are probably right though, that Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Gallagher could become the first line of the future, and a very dangerous one at that.

Is it sensible thinking to try and assemble a scoring line like an RPG party? "Okay we got our sharpshooter, our playmaker, and our plumber?" Or is that outmoded thinking/unsupported by results?
