Also GWS is a very cool forum and I have respect for the posters there. I have made a lot of their recipes and they are almost without exception really solid
ya the recipes are good and the mods do a good job of keeping it good. its one of my favourite forums to read

I feel that a week was excessive, but also that having flame wars against other non-mod users in the QCS mod feedback thread is not conducive to the thread's core purpose.
'Don't do this anymore or I'll probate you for a week' has the same response and this way people arent bitching about an overly harsh probation handed out by Ralp.

I agree, it's not, but I'm sure that could have been conveyed with a one sentence post between the two adults who disagree on the matter.

Maybe Ralp should just put a day/3 day/week minimum probation thing in the OP for the future of this thread or something like that. That way no one can complain that they weren't informed of the consequences.
If it's a big enough deal to hand out weeklong vacations over, it seems important enough to go in the OP in a more structured way.

As a counterpoint, people have proven their willingness to complain for pages and pages about warnings as simple as "hey don't post in this thread for banning people or you'll get banned."
