Back when the SNES was the big system, my mom, dad and I would go and rent Link to the Past and Secret of Mana. We'd rent them for a week, go back in and just renew the rental, and we played them loving constantly. I think we even had to call the Nintendo Game Hintz Hotline for a part in LttP we were stuck on.

Eventually, my parents bought a copy of zelda, and tried to play a joke on me with it; my dad sat on the couch on top of the cartridge, and started complaining about something in his butt hurting him, demanding that I dig it out of there. Of course I pitched a fit and broke down into tears, and finally accepted my fate and reached in. You know, that doesn't SOUND like a fond memory...

More recently, Champions of Norath. We hooked up the 4 controller hub to the psone and had such a loving blast. It was always a mad dash to gently caress your friends out of loot, so much so that any chests that opened (which explode loot up into the air), the loot was all snatched out of the air almost instantly. We eventually found out how to dupe items, and slotted all our weapons with attack speed globes and just laughed for weeks.
