For me, I was really into Castle of the Winds when I was a kid. It was the first roguelike, and probably RPG, I ever played. When you died it said "Another one bites the dust!" which I thought was funny.

Oh my loving GOD I remember playing this when I was like super duper little and it was just the shareware version and it owned. I was just thinking about this game a few days ago and could not remember the name of it. Good call.
