The illusion of choice. Basically the fact that I have too many video games means that I can't pick just one, and I may as well have none. Let's say I have access to any steam game. I. Literally. Can't. Pick. One. There's nothing to play. And It's been driving me insane for the last 3 days now. All I've been doing is playing hearthstone because I literally can't figure out what else to do. To make matters worse, I have a PS3/PS4 with a backlog, so whenever I think I'm close to picking a game I think "Hey, maybe I should clear my backlog first". Except I don't. I suck. What do you suggest I do to get out of this predicament?

OP it's obvious that Hearthstone has inflicted you with gamer depression but you can't see it. Please stop playing this and any moba games you might play (depending on your aids level ) and get a Wii U immediately to counter the depression.

a good cure for game paralysis is to just jump into a game and play until you cannot play anymore, or try a different method of gaming if you have a portable or console or something

If you have a computer you can play the entirety of the Wii library with ease. Just make sure you delete the ROMs within 24 hours

This is an unorthodox opinion which may get me banned but consider doing something non gaming with your free time. It's not because you have too many games. It's because you don't really want to game at all. Do something else for a while.
