The idea of MegaPristimon and MegaChiropmon and also Gekkomon is there is just funny to me

Seiyal posted:I want to say that in the original preview material, they emphasized that Reina, while having the ability to still use evolution and have a partner, tends to overexert herself and thus runs out of power quickly. It's interesting because we haven't seen Reina do that yet . . . but we sure see Wolvermon seem to get taken out by a stiff breeze frequently, and I wonder if that's in part because when going all out it ends up being her taking the brunt instead. Hell, maybe its Pristimon refusing to fully sync up for the sake of protecting her. Question is, do we think getting back in sync and regulating their E-Pulses will just give us a new and improved Wolvermon, an alternate Champion, or our first Ultimate outside of Murasamemon?

Not in terms of personality, obviously, but in how they never won a fight until Lilamon's debut.

Murasamemon is the hot tag for when poo poo goes Real Bad. Chiropmon is the support and therefore doesn't get into direct combat in the first place. And Gekkomon's the protagonist, so that means he can't be anything less than a highlight player. That means someone needs to be the early-fight bruiser that can't go the distance, and sadly it ended up being Reina.

With Yoshino, her inability to win fights was actually a character arc thing. I think they might be doing a similar character arc with Reina.

I think you guys are kind of exaggerating how badly Wolvermon has been faring. Like, the rules of drama indicate she can’t really win a fight as the team’s heavy, but she doesn’t really expressly go down every time like you’re saying either

I do like that they have a pretty good reason Kyo and Murasamemon are frequently not involved. Namely that Kyo is slowly killing himself and needs time to recharge

Nodosaur posted:Parallelmon has been added to the Digimon Encyclopedia. 24 years between its first appearance and being added to the DRB. It's a new record, beating perpetual joke Yanmamon by 2 years, though Yanmamon had constant appearances in the franchise while Parallelmon was completely forgotten between V-Tamer and Time Stranger.

New Liberator. They did it, the absolute madmen. 23 years incoming, we're finally getting Gaiamon (not the Appmon). Also Maniac Pack confirmed canon, sorry if you
