I liked Mimi in the original, especially when they actually let her do cool things instead of shriek a lot and get hit on by Numemon, but she and Palmon are just so good when they get screentime in Tri.

Yes. It's grindy as hell in a way that's incredibly frustrating, and if you want to do well in events (which you want to do to evolve your digimon to Mega) you'll need to gacha for event-specific drop rate ++ or score ++ equipment.

It's more fun than Links was, but it's still a grindy gacha hell game. :shrug:

Any Digimon can become anything if you're creative with digivolving, so just focus on a few. I guess it's the Pokemon habit, but I usually have a team of 6 (and a trio of platnumemons).

It was an easy way to separate between digimon you could recruit to the city and digimon you couldn't. Thus you could recruit Agumon or Vegiemon or Bakemon but you couldn't get Snow Agumon or Zassoumon or Soulmon. This wasn't 100% (You couldn't get either Goblimon or Shamamon for instance), but as a rule of thumb it worked.

Incidentally Gomamon wasn't in the game at all and Tentomon was a one-off NPC which is probably the reason why neither of them got recolors from this era.
