In fact, I think King said it was a better ending than he had written. The Mist and The Thing are my two favorite horror movies. Makes sense considering how similar they are. gently caress The Mist has a The Thing reference in right at the start.

I dunno what affiliation or if they were just a merry band of satanic dudes or what. I do know growing up in the suburbs that it wasn't rare to come across dead chickens and makeshift altars out in the forest preserves. Never seen that kind of thing myself, but it would make the news occasionally. ~*~spooky~*~
